So get this right, yesterday I thought I had a date planned with a pretty girl who seemed to be really cool, I had to work yesterday, but once i got off work at 2 I went home, cleaned my truck took a shower and tried to call her, no answer. Yet we were talking by text earlier, so I decided to text her, no answer. So I waited till about 6 and tried to text her one more time, still nothing. We've been talking for like a week now so I thought everything was cool. Finally around 7 I just decided that I was stood up so I went out. And I still havent heard from her.
Why do girls do this? Dont they understand that its so much easier on the guys part that if you dont want to go out with him, then just tell him so... If he's not a big boy and cant take it like an adult then thats his fault and he needs to grow up, but me i'd rather her just say hey I cant make it tonight it doesnt feel right.

maybe her husband was home or she kept shopping and found someone who she thought looked better....then again she may had to go to the hospital for a heroin overdose,or a meteorite hit her house,the dog died, she may have herpes and mercy

I know how ya feel , Sucks. I have relaized they are the ones with the maturity problem and they need to grow up! People suck sometimes, but We should just suck it up and keep on doin what we do! Their loss!

uh he was stood up where would there be any optimism on an excuse...oh she won the lotto and is waiting to collect money so he and her can live on a tropical island forever together...its a surprise...there ya go....:)

Yep, I was stood up a couple of years ago.

We were supposed to meet at a sports bar for dinner, drinks and to watch the NBA playoffs at 5pm. This would have been our 4th date.

I arrived early and called to let him know where I was in the bar because it was really crowded. I got his VM (no biggie).

I ordered a beer and watched the game -- waiting. At 5:20 I called only to get his VM again. I hate hang-ups so I left a message.

By the time 5:45 rolled around I knew I was being stood up so I ordered dinner anyway, stayed for another game, and had a really good time flirting with the bartender.

I got a call from him the next day saying he had forgotten about our date and he was with his buddies watching the game! He wanted to make it up to me but I was done with that mess. I do not deal with inconsiderate people.

I still had fun though. I didn't want him to mess with my head or make me feel down. I could have gone home and pouted but staying and enjoying my night was so much better!

Just blow it off and move on. Rude people are mean and you don't need them in your life. You don't even need a reason why she stood you up. Unless something tragic happened (like an accident or a family emergency), there is no excuse for her not calling.

The best medicine is to plan another date with someone else that will treat you right!

I know what you guys are saying, and yeah i've sucked it up i've been in crappier situations before. I guess this post was more focused on how normal being stood up was, because believe you me i dont go alone every night, always livin life to the fullest lol. But also its like why do people do that? I know it doesnt make me less of a person to be the victim, it makes her the lesser one, but why go through all the trouble of talking to someone for a week just to stand them up? Kind of like a pointless path in your life if you already know your not gonna live up to your word. Lieing is the number one most easiest route out of things huh? lol. Just like most of the replies said suck it up and move on "soldier".
