I was always lead to believe that African scammers were unable to use Mingle.
As I have had yet ANOTHER one try their luck with me today, I'm just hoping that the mods are aware of these people.

look for the following: 'Am from Ghana. Looking for man to marry. I christian girl ready to settle down and fall in love with wonderful man. Am loving and generous and kind and giving and in love with man'

Not to mention they have a picture of Megan Fox on the profile.

I just tell em how its always been my dream to be married to a Nigerian goat herder and when can they send me the money for a plane ticket

I never hear from em again

don't be too harsh on these people, some of the best ones are on this site.. They are great... When I needed friends the most they were here for me.......... Thanks..

Just delete them and report them let Mingle2 deal with them.. YOU can also block the user! go to your filter page and you might have settings that are causing this problem.... dont let out side mail inside!

Tom, we're aware of the situation. We can't catch everybody right away, but procedures have been implemented to catch as many as possible. If one gets through and contacts you, PLEASE report them so Admin can investigate and take the appropriate actions!

I will say that I get far fewer scammers here than on any other site I've ever been on. There will always be a few who figure a way to get around the blocks, though, and we need to make sure that those people are reported....!

It is no different than if your being attacked reporting scammers are up to you if you choose not to then it is hard for the site to in fact get rid of them. The site gives you the tools to report them please use those features.

All you have to do is look scroll down at the bottom of your e-mail click report say why and it goes straight to Adim Mods do not have anything to do with getting rid of the scammers except to report them to Admin the same way you do.

Another way you can report them is to in fact go to their profile to the right of their picture you will see Report this User it will ask what the problem is please check off the box that it pertains too and then it will also give you and area to add to it. This will also go straight to Admin.. Again MODS DO NOT DEAL WITH SCAMMERS ADMIN DOES!

Regardless where they are from scammers are scammers none are allowed if the site knows about them. We do have certain ways to catch most of them but no way to catch them all without the members help.

IT IS UP TO THE MEMBERS TO HELP OUT WITH THIS ISSUE!!

It just annoys me.
I don't get many of them and I still am of the belief that of all the sites around. Mingle is by far the best.

Both Kristi and Lex are right. These people need to be reported to admin. Now, if it's blatant, and you have emails, you can send it to me and i will lock them.

I want to explain something though. Forum moderators are just that. Their job is to keep the forums clean. What happens is, when non forum related issues go through mods, then the moderator becomes a third party. This (in effect), slows down the process. So what you have here, is two or three mods reporting the same problem, and admin having to sift through all of that.

It is much better, to report the profile. This goes directly to admin, and they have the tools to deal with this much more efficiently than we can.
