The president is not a beer drinker. He sipped at it like it was a Long Island Iced Tea.

My only problem with this 'meeting'.

President stepped in it when he got involved in the first place.

Nice to see he tried to 'fix' that.

Looks like a publicity stunt to me.

Ah well we have become very cynical, myself included, but whether it was or not it certainly was a smart move, and done quickly enough to prevent something far worse. Like months of obsession over it. I agree that the president stepped in it, but this is one guy I don't mind giving the benefit of the doubt because I like the way he handles himself generally. And not I don't think he is the messiah.. bigsmile

That was diplomacy? Palleze.

Biden was served non-alcoholic beer..no wonder...Biden's gaffes are famous, without alcohol. That event was so staged for a photo op it is ridiculous.

Biden was brought on to get the white vote...simple. And now he allowed to make an appearance on a racial issue. Where is he on health care. He is a baby boomer, an old guy. jmo

I just thought it was ironic Obama let Biden make an appearance..yet his age should put him on the stage regarding health care for the elderly. jmo

Biden claims to have never tasted alcohol and is a complete teetotaler

I don't see Obama as a beer drinker. I see him as a Chardonay man.

Ok, not sure why you think it's ironic for Biden to make an appearance. Biden has close ties to the police force and firefighters, seems to me a logical choice to balance the event.
