In peach and harmony. Well at least in peace.

We each have our own opinions.

And we each have within us the right to decide what it says to us.

Genesis 1-26 'And God said let us make man in our image, after our
likeness...'

Since I believe that the image of God also includes the holy spirit we
all have it so we all have that helping us in our attempt to understand.

In this can we please use only Genesis and not pull from things that
came later. Perhaps we can help each other to understand the message in
this one chapter.

One of my favorites a quote "Cursed is the ground for thy sake."
my interpretation is working is a good thing. You shouldnt be idol.

Oh yeah "And the Lord God said behold, the man is become one of us, to
know good from evil:and now lest he put forth his hand, and take also the
tree of life, and eat,and live for ever:"

This go together with your post.

Ah but one needs judgement of the things they do. Judgement when
applied with Honor and Honesty to Self is a good thing.

What I try to avoid is Judging. Once I begin Judging another I have
allowed a veil of my self to come beteween my view of them and the
person they realy are.

My take on judging. Everybody makes judgements but they are merely
meaningless opinions not facts. So we have to live without condemnation.
So what I mean is you can judge (opinion)
but you cant condemn (fact).

we are told to "judge righteous judgement". If someone asks you why you
don't agree with them, we'd better be able to site book, chapter and
verse for God's words on the matter. HE is the judge.

Any part of Genesis you wish.

Its all Genesis.

Any question any one of us asks I am sure someone that frequents these
threads will have an answer for. Any one that has an opinion about the
beginings of our current civilization I welcome that opinion. It may
add to my knowledge and it will enhance my understanding and perhaps
yours also.

In this way perhaps we can help each other grow.

well....I think the "great fall" was the first example ever of "passing
the buck". Have you ever thought of that? and have you ever thought of
how that continues today? When confronted Adam says THAT WOMAN! that
you gave me she beguilded me and I did eat...when confronted, Eve says
THAT SERPENT, HE beguiled me and I did it.

Perhaps God should not have allowed a talking serpent in there in the
first place.

then no one would have had to pass the buck.

not only a talking one but one that walked upright at the
time.......noway scarey to me!!!! Is probably why women hate snakes

maybe it was all part of god plan to have us excercise are free will and
make the choice to partake. So we could be come as he is and partake of
the tree of life.

"And the Lord God said behold, the man is become one of us, to
know good from evil:and now lest he put forth his hand, and take also the
tree of life, and eat,and live for ever:"

missed.

hmmmm I'll have to think on that one AB...

"they" say free will , caused by that event, is why there are illnesses,
disease, accidents etc...why "bad things sometimes happen to good
people".

But I will think on that one...thanks for the thought

Fantastic band ...

although I preferred Peter Gabriel to Phil Colins as the lead singer.

They were formed in my birth year ..

I love the pi55-take that Collins wrote about TV Evangelists ..
"Jesus, he knows me"

Would love to see them live.

I dont want this to be a argument but what journey they would be there
for eternity if they didnt partake of the forbidden fruit. They would
never be able to partake of the tree of life.

Ah but look at the pyrmids. The smell of pine trees in the mist of a
cool spring morning. The uninhibited fun of a snowball tossing contest
on a crisp winters day. We will reach a point where desease no longer
controls us. We will reach a point where hunger does not strike
anywhere in our world.

Have you ever stood on an ancient structure and felt the age and
wondered at the culture that built it. How they could have built it
with what they had available at the time.

Life is so much better when lived.
