well from the pictures I have seen, it looks like Phil Collins has eaten
more than forbidden fruit to extend his eternal life ...

A little surgery might have helped.

or living on the shores of Lake Geneva tax free ...

Uhm I'm reading this Genesis now, and I hit a confusing part for me, now
don't yell at me or anything just uhm explain it as simply as possible
for me....he made man and woman and all thast and after his 7th day he
rested then made man out of clay and breathed breath into his nostril
and gave him life, my question and confusion is this didn't already make
man and woman?? If so then why did he make man out of clay again on the
8th day...I am so confused

There are some that say the second time listed is just a repeat of the
first from the point of view of Adam.

My own opinion is that he made the Human race on the 6th Day. He then
rested.

Then he made Adam so that he would have someone to tend the garden of
Eden.

I get that belief from a few paragraphs later.

Genesis 2:15 'And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden
of Eden to dress it and to keep it.'

He had allread created Male and Female (Genesis 1-27) and told them to
be fruitfull and multiply. That would be the human species.

He then created Adam (Genesis 2:7)

He created the the garden to the east in Eden. It was not large enough
to encompass the earth. It was specificly laid out and its location is
listed by the rivers that flowed from it.

Then he palced Adam into the garden.

I think that god created man as a spirit. Then man was "formed" with the
dust. Reread that it says god formed man. So their was a creation of the
spirit and of the body I think.

So he was created in his image as a spirit. Then formed the physical
body of man and the spirit together.

So the spirit is a seperate creation. The spirit was mad in his image.
The flesh was made from the dust.

Going back
you notice how this was the first commandment (Genesis 1-27) and told
them to
be fruitfull and multiply." The second dont eat of the forbidden fruit.
To fulfill the first commandment we had to partake of the fruit. So god
wanted us to use are free will and realize his plan was good and would
ultimately benifit us.

AB it is so ambiguous you need a degree to work out watt the hell it
means . so letUS whos the us to me that means more than 1 so that
debunks the whole 1 god theory out of the water. i am a simple man i do
not have a degree in theology i should not need one this bible book is
surposed to be for every man.so if i cant read it and take it as it
reads to me then the book is not worth the paper it is written on.oh i
can read and i do have a dictionary laugh

oops sorry I was thinking about the book of revelation. Genesis has a
lot to do with revelation because some of rev. deals with before genesis
at least thats what I believe.

The king james version has it flaws it was recopied in the elizabethian
times confusing language. The hebrew way of writing is in parables.
Think Isaiah even tougher. Things were cut out changed etc.

Well if you take the the sixth day to be the day he created the human
race '... Male and Female he created them'. Then let them populate the
world for a while.

Each step was a day. On the 7th day he rested. When it talks about
these things it lists them as a day.

Then it says in Genesis 2:4 'These are the GENERATIONS of the heavens
and of the earth when they were created...'

So he created all these things in 6 days and rested. Then he allowed
evolution to proceed for GENERATIONS so they would populate the earth.
Then he made adam to tend the garden he was going to make in Eden.

The big diffenence to me between the creating of the human species on
the 6th day and the making of adam is that he created humans in his own
image. He breathed a soul into adam.

Genesis 2:7 '... and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and
man became a living soul. I am not sure if this means that only the get
of Adam have a soul or if this means that Adam was the first human to be
able to be aware of god.

genesis 2 9 it says "and out of the ground made the lord god to grow
every tree that was pleasant to thesight, and good for food. the tree of
life also in the midst of the garden and the tree of knowledge of good
and evil." So I think the lord god made the garden.

yep that is the place where he put the man Adam so that he could dress
it and keep it.

Can you imagine doing nothing with your life but tending a big (OK HUGH)
garden.
