 I have always lived in the country and I know if I lived in the city I would probably get killed. Whenever I have went into big cities I am on the edge and ready to fight. I don't trust any of those people. I straight up tell homeless people and anyone else I dont know to get the f away from me. When someone comes within arms reach of me I draw back ready throw down. I dont even like the way city people look. They think they are so tough and they actually look rather pathetic to us country people. They just get away with more crime because people dont give a crap about each other like they do in the country. They arnt tough. They would get their a** stomped if they were in the country in Kentucky where I grew up wow... that's kind of harsh... Well, I am aware that not everyone in big cities are bad but I dont take my chances. Like I said Jasmine, I know I couldn't make it there.And there are bad people in the country too. Its just a different variety of crime that happens. The stuff that goes down in the big cities wouldn't work in the country I can tell you that much you're entitled to your opinion   Sorry, I just got upset reading about someone getting mugged while everyone just sits there.I think everyone on that bus should be arrested for being accomplices.I need to think about something else now. I dont like being this negative.  Hey, I got my front door open and my car is sitting out in the driveway,doors unlocked,and I aint got NOTHING to worry about. At least I can say that much

there are so many incidents here in toronto where good samaritans are killed because they interferred. i think though that instinct wouldn't allow you to think and one would immediately step right in. i'm a little more cautious now that i'm a mother of my own and want to make sure my kids have me around for as long as possible, but i have interrupted a beating of a woman in downtown toronto, and stopped a man from beating his girl here in the suburbs. i would think, at the very least, someone would have picked up their cell and called in an emergency and am shocked that it didn't happen. i'm glad they are all going to be fine. I agree. In situations like this, I would have alerted the cops / security / bouncers etc instead of directly getting involved. |

I KNEW YOU WERE FROM KENTUCKY JUST LIKE ME! HA! Anyway, to tell the truth, I've quit helping people because I always end up getting arrested. I tried to help a woman take a large box of toys to her car...she thought I was trying to steal them even tho I kept telling her I'm only trying to help (this woman was wobbling around with box, and I thought she was going to fall over at different times so I jumped in...and got in trouble.) And I tried to help an old lady cross the road but she thought I was going to rape her, so she hit me with her cane! This stuff just keeps getting out of hand

I would like to update u .....my letter i emailed to my local newspaper just earlier today, was replied with a visit at the door!
2 journalist arrived and asked me and my son to talk to them. They took the story and pictures, and the article will be in the paper tomorrow. I think they r gonna attack LRT (our local bus company)as there was cameras on the bus, but the back ones werent working, hence the driver not seeing it. They are also gonna challenge ppl to do more in these situations, as we have shown, small actions can have a huge effect. (as in alerting driver/making call) Wow, that felt so weird! it was all so fast! |

I do my best to live my life by a certain philosphy. Do the right thing.
That doesn't mean do the right thing, unless it hurts someones feelings or do the right thing unless it puts your own well being into question. It means do the right thing, no matter. Do the right thing when it's the toughest thing you've ever experienced, do the right thing even though your basest reaction is to fire off out of anger. Do the right thing, even if you don't like the person that you're about to show what the right thing is. I'm a straight forward maniac missile, I've been in more than one situation where I could have found myself hurt or worse, but stuck up for those being crapped on. This dolt on the bus is very lucky that a man... A MAN... like me wasn't on there too, because he'd have found himself on the business end of someone who'd be quite glad to give their life to see the right thing done. I'm so sorry that your son and his people had to go through this sort of trauma and I'm glad that the newspaper is going to point their finger at it. Where have the real men gone, is everyone so kenneled, brainwashed and chemically castrated that full grown men would sit by and watch a bullying thug threaten women with a knife?
