I'm a Christian, Alpine. I'm also a humanist...and I hate labels. A
few days ago, my neighbor and I worked for a little old lady, as we rode with her, she started shoving her beliefs down my Native American neighbor's neck. She's a JW but she kept using the term "Christian" and that reflects badly on me. I hope every one of you reaches your happy hunting grounds, whatever they may be...but I won't have any part in the political fight along the way. Muslim, Darwinist, Christian, Native American...whatever you may be, have a great day...I'm signing off. |

interesting yeh that's bad when people represent badly
I'm not ashamed to say I'm Christian even though there are a few bad apples |
lol sweet interesting word choice! :)

I could be wrong but I thought catholics were christians?
don't consider myself a christian personally.. checked off catholic on my profile because that's how I was baptized, but I'm not practicing..... |
I am and I will shout it from the mountains
If you're not practicing then what are you doing?
not to insult catholics but they do things so differently. The purgatory thing I completely disagree with |
I'm a Christian!

Being a christian does not mean you are religious just in case you
didn't know........ |
I'm a follower of Christ... But I don't have a denomination... Like I'm
not baptist or catholic or anything like that... I just live my life according to how God wants me to live it, and I go to a church that teaches the same thing... but it doesn't have a label... How broad a term is Christian really?? |
Alphine I don't believe in the term "religion" period. That is a worldly
term to categorize us |
Count me in...

yay hi rapunzel :)

I go to a non-denoninated church on saturday night and a pentecostal
church on sunday morning when ever I can get up they both teach of the gifts of the spirit |
No insult taken boredchick... And as far as what I do... well
I do what I do... I'm a free thinker, though I do find religion interesting and I learn about it when I can, have read much of the bible, I do not consider myself "religious". I'm not sure how else to describe it? |

My mother was raised pentecostal... my father was raised baptist and
they raised my brothers and I to be non-denominational. When it all boils down to it, MOST 'religions' have their base in 'Christianity' it's just different interpretations on how things all should go... But my *personal* idea is that if you follow God's Plan and not something that was set up by human beings and get a true understanding of the Bible for yourself, you won't get sucked into 'religious' confines... You'll be more free to enjoy life knowing that your soul is saved and heaven is your home! But that's just me! |
