I've used Opera from time to time, and it works pretty well if a wee bit different from Firefox. It's also regularly updated so any problems with instability or performance are quickly addressed. It'll also accept bookmarks from other browsers as well (most of them do this), so you can just import them and be off and internetin' like an internetin' fool.

Some people claim to have good luck Apple Safari, but they were all probably Mac users saying that.

Yeah. I primarily use FF for my browsin' as well. I HAVE found that having too many extensions installed to it may cause performance problems, so it behooves you to have just the ones you REALLY need (like "ad-block plus", "greasemonkey", and "no-script") installed. The rest will just add code-bloat to FF and screw up your internettin' experience.

I usually use Firefox except for work, where I have to use IE.

Personally I like Firefox a lot but if I had to switch Opera used to be listed as the fastest browser on the planet. I think it was a lot of hype but it did not seem to have the overhead of the others either so the pages did load up a bit faster. Then again that was a while back and I have not installed the latest version of it on this pc so it too may not be like that anymore.

i would guess it is your dsl provider working on their network

check w/others using same service provider

and if you do not reboot very often try that

after clearing private data

there is a setting on firefox to clear data at closure each time

good luck

Firefox for me is still the best and fasted browser.

I have tried some others lately but I would not switch to any of them.

FireFox by far is the best, and the first if you know your history!

I noticed Firefox is becoming slower as they add more and more stuff to it. They are ruining it with, whatever they are doing to it.

Actually it's Safari what is the fastest, by having the speed measured, but there are certain things I don't like about Safari, like copying and pasting text and pictures is a pain in the a$$.

I am Olde' School.
Not Only do I prefer Firefox... but I really do not like what they have done to it lately... so I'm using Version 2.0.0.7.

When I began using the Internet in 1996 I was forced to use Netscape Communicator by my Local ISP.
Ever since, I have used Mozilla Products for both Browsing and E-Mail.

Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5.0.9 currently handles my 8 E-Mail Addresses effortlessly, and does NOT mix up which mail comes or goes from which account!
It is like one-stop-shopping for E-Mail... I could not Imagine checking 8 different places every day...
Just thought I'd Share that tidbit.

I got IE8 and it's much better than any other IE, and I got CC Cleaner, good program washes the cache really fast.

Recently made the switch to firefox... But I still enjoy Opera. Only went to FF because some odd pages had problems with Opera.
