All I have are pens! I want to write stories that are flying in my head right now, but if I use ink than I will mess up and the page will look ugly 
 
And nobody will ever see these stories, but I'm a perfectionist about them and want them to look good Anyway, off to bed, Goodnight!

Evacuation order lifted for 6,000
by Wayne Moore - Story: 48340 Jul 20, 2009 / 9:17 pm Good news for some displaced Glenrosa residents and valley commuters. About 6,000 Glenrosa residents, evacuated since Saturday night due to the Glenrosa Fire will be allowed to go home as of 8 a.m. Tuesday. Highway 97 and Highway 97 C, the Okanagan Connector, will also re-open for traffic at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Details were released at a media briefing Monday evening. District of West Kelowna CAO, Jason Johnson announced people on evacuation orders living north of Glenrosa Road and north of Powers Creek will be allowed to return home. He cautions that those people will remain on evacuation alert and may be asked to leave if conditions change. "Residents south of Highway 97 and west of Powers Creek, including properties that access Gellatly Road north west of the Cove Resort remain on evacuation order," says Johnson. "The Glenrosa fire remains active and crews continue to aggressively attack the fire. All previous evacuation orders and alerts remain in place." All evacuation orders and alerts remain in place for those affected by the Rose Valley and Terrace Mountain fires. Johnson says residents returning to their homes Tuesday are urged to inspect their property for the following issues: Danger trees - trees that are burned that may fall without warning Dangerous structures or fire damaged property including melted siding or burned landscaping Non-visible collapse risk areas such as potentially compromised septic systems Visible open holes and pits Hot or burning materials Hot ground Downed electrical wires and utility lines Hazardous materials Sharp ojbects Wildlife that may have pushed out of their normal areas. "Property owners are advised to retain the services oif a certified arborist to evaluate any questionable trees on private property and to consult building professionals to assess structural hazards resulting from fire-impacted buildings," adds Johnson. "If property owners observe damage as a result of the Glenrosa forest fire, they should contact their insurance provider immediately." Ministry of Forests Incident Commander, Tim Ewart, says officials felt comfortable that it is safe to allow these resident to return to their homes. "We're confident the ground fuels and anything that could cause concern has been consumed. Having said that, we are at the mercy of the weather," says Ewart. "Conditions on these fires could change but in these areas where the orders have been lifted, we're confident it is safe to let the residents return." Johnson says police remain in the area and will allow only residents of the area to return. "RCMP will be checking ID as people come through, to ensure only resident of the area are able to access the area," adds Johnson. West Kelowna Fire Chief, Wayne Schnitzler, says he is hoping for an orderly return. "Hopefully the return will be done in a nice, controlled manner and people will respect that while there is a time announced for the return, but if people would gradually return, it will be a lot more orderly," says Schnitzler. |

And why so early?? If it made it through the fires, it'll still be there at like 10 a.m!!

Oh they had to go to the local high school. They were giving out free gift certificates to the people evacuated. Food vouchers for clothing etc......it was a zoo for the last few days and we had to buy my son some clothes because he was too STOOOOOOOOOOOOPID to pack anything other than 3 shirts.
He used my lady speedstick yesterday......
