Topic: Online relationships? | |
---|---|
For one to have an LDR it is not easy for some. It will take work in
order to make it last. It takes two very trusting people that is willing to take some sarifices. I have it lasted almost a year and a half. We flew back and forth ever other month in order to be with each other. It's not easy cause when you want them with you they can't be. Ohh but it can work if two people really work at it. As far as moving that would all have to depend. Ob the factors |

I like the way you described the
relationship, Styks! You paint a pretty picture!!! |

How can one have a "relationship" via computer? I mean, the only
"relationship" would be through communication. I think that that communication is a precursor to a relationship, perhaps, but does not constitute a true relationship, per se. |

...I've always conducted myself like this...
email or IM for at least a month if both agree...do phone calls for another month.. if the excitement is still there..arrange to meet... you can learn a lot about a person just thru writing... |
|
|
|
Personally, I don't think that online relationships work. There needs to
be more that one way of contact. |

its an easy way to get yourself mind f ed

the actual person for you may be 1/2 way around the world and this is a
way to meet them and if you're looking at or talking to someone and wondering if you can trust them go seek some help you have to be open and give trust b4 you get anywhere near a relationship i know some have been hurt but if you don't trust because of something someone else did you should not think everyone is that way or all people will do that to you |

there is no black and white in this topic.........
sorry............... |
|
|
|
No, there's no black and white... but if its a 'text only' exchange, I
don't think you should put to much trust in them. It could be anyone, you never know what their motives might be. But if you've visited them in person even once, suddenly you have a lot more to go on in making your trust decision. |

I'm actually a pile of beets, masquerading as a pile of carrots. Beets
get a bad rap; I just thought I'd be more accepted as a pile of carrots. |

until a few days ago....... i thought you were a fish merchant swear to god... |
|
|
|
You're the second person to say that! The other votes were for a "pile
of llama droppings" and "a group of people". Totally serious. I need a better pic. |
