That's a very good question. I thought I had made some friends here, and in a couple of cases, I have. Very good friends. But, on the other hand, when I was forced to go away for a month or so ( not because of a suspension..I moved and couldn't get internet service right away ) 90% of the people who I thought were friends... Well...let's just say that no one thought to try to find out if I was even alive. I guess, the best I can say is that this site gives me a place to vent, make smart *** posts, answer a few people's questions ( although even that is dying a slow painful death at this point ) and keep myself from going out of my mind ( what's left of it ) from sheer boredom. Did they have your phone number and new mailing address?  You can't really blame them if they only had contact with you online and you didn't have online service for a while. I'm sure they were thrilled when you returned.  |

 This site, by far, is the only site that entertains me. And I'm talking about the members in the forums. There are days where I can give advise. And days where I can act goofy. And days where I need advice myself. I like the diversity...it makes this site great...not same ol' same ol'. Yeah we have our rounds of boredom, but someone is bound to break the ice with a good topic.

 I am so incredibly happy right now. Ok, so a lot of things in my life are stressing me right now and I’m feeling forced to make decisions I am not ready to make, but I have something now that means so much more to me thanks to this site. No, it’s not a man.  I guess I should say it’s not a woman either for those of you with an open mind. It really doesn’t matter to anyone but me what it is. All that matters is that something that is a major part of me, that my mother has repeatedly made me feel inadequate about, is being appreciated and complimented by others on here and I am so happy and grateful.  Ok… so posts are supposed to get people thinking and communicating about how they feel. So, my question to all is…  Other than the obvious “I met someone…” (it IS a “dating” site), what else has this site done for you?  E.g.: - Helped you open up more to others - Validated your opinions on something - Helped you be a better debater - Opened your mind to other ways of thinking or feeling - etc… A HUGE thank you to those who have made me feel this way!  Very welcome, Now when do we get to see the playboy layout????    When the price is right and women in their 40's are considered sexy. Want to be my agent and get me a great deal? |

showed me I am not the only one in the world looking for someone. showed me that there are some real head cases out there showed me that there are some genuine people ot there it is like going to a bar and you just take your chances but this is better, easier to weed them out. this site has been a place where I have gotten the bigger picture so it is all GOOD but no date yet But look at all you have gained and learned. You have become a more experienced and better you and are just preparing yourself for the right one. |

I've met a lot of great people here. People I know I can talk to about things and they won't think I'm crazy or odd or snotty. I've learned a lot about myself from talking things out with people on here. Mirror's always getting me thinking away. I've always written, more than I'd let on, but never ever let anyone read my stuff. I was always terrified about the reaction. Good or bad it made me anxious. But people here have been so wonderful about my stuff that I find myself encouraged more in all aspects of my life. Which is wonderful. I really don't care if I meet the man of my dreams on here. Besides, he changes daily  You've said all I didn't say. |
