So I'm in the Navy and apparently there is a certain stigma that we are horrible, womanizing, cheating, blank holes.
Is this the general consensus of people?
If it is...we should talk.
John

Not here! If not for the Navy, I wouldn't exist. Mom grew up in Oregon, and Dad in DC. They met in Greenland because they were both in the Navy:

So, yeah... I kinda got a thing for the Navy.

I'm sure there's a lot of personal experience. I don't personally have issues with military men in general. My ex was Navy and he was an ***. A friends son is in the Army and screwing his CO's wife. Another close friends hubby is over in Afghanistan and he and his buddies are awesome guys. I've been chatting with 2 gents who are ex-military and are good men.

Pros and cons.

Just like regular civilians...

Better dressed... Lol. Yum.

Do you realize how annoying it is to get all those buttons undone just to go to the bathroom? yikes!

I'm a retired military brat, and I work as a civilian on a military base. I've been around it all. But if anything, I wouldn't mind marrying a man in the military and not me joining it. I kinda feel like my life is there.

Well, my Dad was POW/MIA in WWII, Army Air Corp. I appreciate and respect like MOST people the responsibility that comes with the uniform.

It is really tough being in the military sometimes. I am not on the front lines like the guys in the Army or Marines(hats off to them), but I do go underway for 6-7 months at a time.
I made an oath to myself that I wasn't going to get involved with someone until I had a stable life. I just got transferred to a shore duty in NY and I will never go underway again. I am done after this shore command.
Now I can put myself out there and not feel bad about leaving!!!

My Dad was a SeeBee who served in Viet Nam.

He married my Mom while he was still enlisted and I was born at the Navy base in Rhode Island.

I have NO issues with the Navy..lol

Oh yeah....my Dad never beat my Mom either.

It's like those old cartoons where there is a guy in full body pajamas and there is a behind flap with 2 buttons that always gets undone. Imagine that on the front with about 15 more.

I was in the Navy. Didn't have any problems unless and until some smartass said us females were ''easy'' then he reconsidered after getting his butt kicked.

The navy guy I dated looked very so hot in his uniform... Military men are very particular about pressing their clothes... drool

Kudos to you. At least you are respectful to wait. I know you'll be happy to finish and mingle freely.
