It's the natural way for most I think. Those that are determined that long term is the only way can sometimes be hurt over and over again because it can be an unrealistic goal early on .All good things come in time someone wrote and thats the way it should be !

Well first of all the relationship shouldn't "start with" sex

Long term is the relationship just flowing and ebbing along in it's natural way some
Longer than others. Some a very long time

But there should be great sex in between the ebbing and flowing!!!!

Ever have sex with love? Now that's sex!!!

Your totaly leaving out the relationship part

Not only do I want to know every inchvof my mans tasty body

But every inch of his mind. Heart. And soul!!!

Do people intentionally try for a long term relationship, or is it something that just happens? Does it develop over time, from a sexual encounter to something more? Why do people post "long term relationship"? Do they mean anything longer than just one night?

I think that our perception of long term as change over time, where 50 was normal before now 10 years is considered long term.

It's a world of new and improve so we have to do the same with our relations, there's always a new and improve relation out there.

To some people two days is long term. To others a lifetime is not long enough.

That was beautiful, Motown!

The point is; some people do not know the definition of the word commitment and jump into things thoughtlessly and way too quickly.
