Topic: Advice needed, seriously | |

I was in a wreck not this past Thurday but the Thursday before. I was rear ended. I seemed fine and still do I think. But everytime I work out now my left side of my neck seems to cramp and get stiff. It never did this before. Do you think it is because of the accident? Should I go to the doctor to see? I don't know.

I don't know. I would think it best for your on good. If it happens to be accident related, then you should have time to report it as such to the insurance co. There is a time limit, not sure how long... Good luck. |

I would see someone ASAP because there's a time limit on how long you have to file a suit or anything.

I would get it checked out just to make sure.. symptoms can come up after the fact and if something isn't right you should know now.

I don't really wanna file a suit. I have never been hurt in an accident before. I just know this use to not happen and now it does.

You should go to the Doctor and get your self checked out just to make sure that it is nothing serious.
Better to be safe than sorry. |

YES, go to the doctor and get yourself checked out.
I was hit from behind (by an off duty cop) while stopped at red light, I thought I was fine too.....needless to say, I found out that I had serious internal injuries, but did not know until the following days..... Most injuries do not surface until the body has rested and you begin your day-to-day routines......Please go tot hte doctor.....better safe than sorry........Best of luck to YOU!!! |

I would see someone ASAP because there's a time limit on how long you have to file a suit or anything. agreed, even if it turns out to be nothing I would recommend covering your bases, and getting it on record... Did you exchange information with the driver of the other car when this happened and reported it to the police? If everyone just left due to "lack of damage" you have no recourse (well, maybe with your own insurance company).... |

No the police came and did a report. My car is in the shop and won't be done until Friday.
Like I said, I just don't feel right... |

I've been in a few wrecks and the chiropractor got me through it. My car got totalled in the last wreck (also rear ended) and their insurance paid all of my chiropractic bills. I also got a new car out of it so it wasn't all that bad.
It's a good idea to see the Dr right after a wreck even if you do feel fine. |

I would have Myka, but I really felt normal. Well it did kind of hurt then, but stopped for a few days. Now it has been back for like 4 days now.

Tami...I'm not trying to scare you, but it is urgent that you see a doctor ASAP. One of my girlfriends was in a typical "fender bender" & felt just a lil sore afterwards. She did not go to a doctor. About 4mos later, she awoke to find herself partially paralyzed. X-rays showed that she had a hair-line fracture of the spine with only about 2mm left intact. If, during normal activities, the fracture had completed, she would've been paralyzed permanantly...GO SEE A DOCTOR, Sis! It's better to find out that nothing's wrong, than to not go at all...

Wow T, between you and adj, I think I am definitely going now.
Like I said, I didn't have issues except working out, but today it just won't freaking go away!! |

the most important thing is to have the documentation from a doctor (or doctors) that you have in fact been injured and it is likely related to the wreck. i've been rear-ended 5 times (dumbasses!) and always get checked out within a few days. it gives you some real ammo if it goes to court or even if you just settle out of court like i always have.
