I was talking to my roommate and told him that the people on here were so much more interesting than the people I meet irl. He looked at me and said, "Maybe they're not... maybe they're just being THEMSELVES online." It made me think. I'm certainly different online than in person. I'm WAY more outgoing and willing to talk to strangers. ...even cute boys... So, how are YOU different online, if you are? And if you're not, why not? Everyone I have met online and then offline has commented on how much quieter I am in person. On here, you’re getting to know the person. Once you’re in person with them, you can just ‘be’. |

People have often told me that my online persona is much different from my real life one. I'm much more quiet in person than online. I'm probably a little less annoying with the pointed jabs and stuff, too. |

Most people get a bit of a shock when they meet me in real life. I have met 50-60 people from online, and probably most of them have commented on how different i am.
They are shocked to find out that i can actually be quite pleasant, and polite! People expect to be loud, but at least until you get to know me a bit, i am more reserved. Im not exactly shy, just i dont like to impose myself on people too soon! |

I'm a little shy , especially in groups of people, more open here but love meeting new people and will talk their leg off..

I don't think I'm much different in person than I am online. Maybe a bit quiet in person at first, though.

from my picture, and how i write,............one can't even imagine.
on the phone........i'm animated, multi-voiced, quiet, goofy, loud, expressive........ in person........, i'm more contemplative, relaxed, and extremely observant, ..... which counts for far less talking, and soaking in my surroundings........ many micro expressions as well. |

Someone who lies online and says, "Hey I'm 5'10 and employed at Sears and have never hurt anyone in my life" is a liar just the same as they are in person. It is not their fault they dont get caught online.... |

Hi Billy, I think people who lie online should be flogged in the town square and not be allowed to have a Sloppy Joe with the rest of us.
