I just had a friend give me a gift card for iTunes; however, I don't have an iPod.

Can I buy any mp3 player and still be able to use the iTune's card?

Would I have to get an adaptor?

Or am I just going to have to break down and get an iPod and possibly pay a little more?

hey found the following:

As the music in iTunes is encrypted with DRM, you cannot directly put it on any non-Apple MP3 player. The easiest way is to burn the music to an audio CD and then rip it back to Windows Media Player or a similar program as an MP3. Or you can get some software to help you.

As far as I know, ITunes can only be used with Ipods.

Since iTunes is an Apple service not only on iPods but iPads and iPhones. If you have one of those go to the iTunes app and somewhere on there there should be a “Redeem gift card” where you can put the 16 digit code but you have to follow it capital letter by capital letter and number by number.
