A question to those opposed to mandatory vaccinations.
If these new ones are voted to be mandatory, what do you intend to do?
Get your kids injected or take them out of the system?

Realistically, how ya' gonna' fight it?

truthfully I'd find a way to get them out of the system.

regarding attending schools, no problem - there is always home schooling

i actually feel the best would be to not let the govt know you have a child at this point

in home birth

no ss number

home school

keep them off the radar as much as possible

it would be hard

just a thought

but hey

what do i know

I'm all for letting the parents decide what is best for their kids. My only concern is this (and maybe unrealistic I know) but if a non-vaccinated child does come down with something and during the incubation period (when a parent doesn't know the child is infected)....what happens if they pass it onto other children?

well that is the chance they take

if they are vaccinated then they will not get it (supposedly)

and if you do not vaccinate that is the chance you take

Guess the same thing that would happen if the children were vaccinated and passed it onto other children, their parents would seek medical attention.

Vaccines, medicines containing a preparation of weakened or dead microbes of the kind that cause a particular disease, are administered to stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies against that disease. They are used to force the body's white blood cells to develop a response to the specific pathogen and rid the body of the invading microorganisms.

Immunization can occur naturally when an untreated microbe is received by a person who has not yet come into contact with the microbe and has no pre-made antibodies for defense. The immune system will eventually create antibodies for the microbe, but this is a slow process and, if the microbe is deadly, there may not be enough time for the antibodies to begin being used.

Artificial active immunization was created to boost the immune system's abilities to more quickly respond. In this process the microbe is injected into the person before they have been exposed to take it in naturally. The microbe to be used in the vaccine is treated to weaken it, so that it will not harm the infected person. Depending on the type of disease, this technique also works with dead microbes, parts of the microbe, or treated toxins from the microbe. This is the purpose of vaccine.

before vaccines people lived, after vaccines people live, making it mandatory = another personal choice/right being taken away rant

I'm talking about the ones that catch something coming into contact with a child too young to vaccinate or something.

like I said...I'm just asking about this scenario is all. My son is 18 so it's not really a huge concern for me

I realize that children that are vaccinated can get sick (not sure the percentage compared to non-vaccinated though)

but hypothetically...I am somewhere with my infant (who is too young for the shots) and a child not vaccinated has the measles (but he symptoms haven't appeared yet.

It's just like anything else. If your kid is sick get them checked out. The diseases the shots are for are not any more deadly than anything else... maybe we need a cancer vaccine. They have a shot for chicken pox....cmon, it runs it's course, uncomfortable, not deadly.
The damage from the shot if your kid is one of the few that gets a bad reaction, well that is permanent. The only way some disease is going to spread around like crazy is if it is some new one because they can't stop those.. or so they say spock

for an infant or the elderly...it can be VERY bad.

As the vaccines are not any more deadly than anything else, why vaccinate? Why not let it run it's course?

They say you can't send your kid to a public school without shots too...
My boys went to school and scouts, they didn't get any shots.

Wow, that surprises me. Was that recently? We have the school physical next week and have to get the shots record for school.

I have one still in high school and I have an exemption form on file with the state, and school district. So It has not been recent but has carried over year after year...
