Bookstores seem like a good place to meet people. At least, that's a store I'd rather meet someone in. I haven't actually met anyone in a bookstore. I was just saying it seems like a better place to meet to me. |

Come to think of it...I saw a guy at the register at Home Depot the other day and he wore a shirt that said "Let's play carpenter! First you give me wood and then I'll nail you".
Unfortunately he wasn't my type. |

a free dating site I met someone here. We were together for quite some time. I think the problem is twofold. One, the distance. Two, the purpose of these sites. These sites are great for having a good time and perhaps meeting someone special BUT the chances of finding someone with permanence? I have lost faith in that. |

Bookstores seem like a good place to meet people. At least, that's a store I'd rather meet someone in. OMG you are SO right!!! A guy started talking to me the other day at Borders because we were looking at the same books! He ended up recommending one to me and I recommended one to him. Kinda creepy though...we were standing in the horror section. Maybe I should hang out in "Erotica" next time. That's so much better than a grocery store or playing dumb at a hardware store, though. At least you find something right away that you have in common. No sings, even though I have been frequenting Home Depot and Lowe's and I ask and get help for projects I am working on (don't take it as I'm playing dumb here) and the men I have met there have been quite helpful and informative. |

Actually asking for help and asking for help as a way of hitting on someone are two different things. So no, I don't think really asking for help is playing dumb. |

Well, I work at a pet store and there are quite a few nice lookin younger ladies and even moms that come in there. Whew! The only problem is I'd like to go out with a lot of them, but I still try to be professional in that environment. Would it be awkward in that case to ask a customer out or somehow let them know that I'm interested in them?
