dude, if you like Dimmu and Meshuggah you've gotta check out Xerath. New band out of the UK, been really impressed. Kinda sounds like a blend of those two bands, and very original as a result.

I don't have an IPod. I'm allergic to fads.

But I do have an MP3 Player. On it is a huge mix of Alternative, Punk, 80's Classics, Hair Bands, Rock, Metal...

Some of my favorite bands:

King Missile
Flogging Molly
The Ramones
Dropkick Murphys
Poison
Counting Crows
Eminem
Nine Inch Nails

... Damn. LOTS more but I'm charging it atm so I don't have all of them. That's a good idea though.

I only have a few hundred songs on mine. I really don't use it all that often, except if I'm traveling, especially by plane, so I have something either to listen to or to watch videos or movies while flying. I'll plug it into the car once in a while if I'm on a road trip and can't find a decent radio station to listen to (not a big stretch on today's radio). I don't have any "favorite top 5", because I have no set, specific genre. Everything I put on it is something I like, and I have everything from Bing Crosby to Hank Williams, Sr. to Megadeth, and everything in between.

I would get VERY bored, VERY quickly if I just listened to the same 5 songs over and over again all the time....Oh, wait! That's Top 40 radio today!

5 songs? How can one choose just 5?
I only have the little clip on shuffles, but have several...one I use for exercise appropriate beats, one has an assortment of "albums" (entire CDs) and one varies in content. I use at least one nearly every day - what a great invention!

OK...I have plenty of music I am listening to. However, with the IPOD Touch it seems that I have become completely addicted to the apps. So I listen to Keane and Lifehouse while playing a game of Moxie. Damn IPOD.

I have a full 30 gig iPod. So, it's a bit hard to pick 5 songs. Just depends on the day.
