i sailed from Yamba to the Gold Coast Australia in a 22ft open **pit sail boat called ***cat.the captian was a mad sth African he sailed the cape of Good Hope when the seas were huge just for fun,and on that trip to the gold coast the seas we encountered off Byron Bay he claimed were the worst seas he had ever encountered.The stuffing box on the dive shaft was leaking the hand pump was a full time job, we were hammered for 5 days.that trip cured me nothin to romantic about sailing the high seas for me.ill be looking for my treasure on terrafirma
