Thank Moof.. the mechanic said it overheated because the fan isn't turning on b/c the fan motor is blowing the plugs... If more is wrong with it then I am going to get very nasty and walk away from the whole thing b/c basically I got screwed without dinner even... 
i'd at least buy you dinner. jack in the box ok? lol . . . |

Yeah. You probably ran it with low coolant, which can lead to overheating, which can cause a whole host of problems. Hopefully the only thing that DID happen was that you had a "boil-over" where the build-up of steam made... uh... steam come out. At least you got that Pontiac GT-something, Prncs. I'd be afraid to think what would happen if you rented a Hummer H2 instead! 
Last time I rented a car, they gave me a Pontiac GT. The last vehicle I rented (actually rented by the production company) was a late-model Ford F-150 with four-wheel drive. The rental company made the production people promise that we weren't gonna go off-roading with it, which is what they did... ... right up to the point where they went trudging up Mt. Hood in Oregon with it.

It was when I went to Denver earlier this year. I rented the cheapest car I could.. but they gave me a free upgrade, which was the Pontiac. |
