He finds them awfully sweet, but I'm sure he'll get through them in the next day or so, or invite a friend to help...

All of the growth spurts I had pre-empted by some MAJOR league food-eatin'. Man... I used to put away some MAJOR amounts of food when I was growin' up...

... among my exploits with food was when I managed to put away not one but THREE Marie Calendar's chicken pot pies. Those things were not for the petite eaters, neither- many people who order them can't even finish ONE.

It's a screen-grab off of a DVD I found at a pawn shop over the weekend- I got my five-seconds of fame (and some face-time) in a low-budget piece-of-crap sci-fi movie called "The Apocalypse" starring Sandra Bernhard.

I was actually on the effects crew, but the stunt coordinator needed some burly dudes to act as heavies during a futuristic barroom brawl. And since I'm a big, burly dude (though I was kinda bigger back in the day), I got hired to play stuntman for a day.

Of course, you just can't plop burly dudes out of nowhere- as a result, I got put in as an extra as well to act as filler until the fight starts up.

The funny thing was that Bernhard was supposed to throw said space hippie into us at some point, bowling us all over. However, the dude being thrown (the stunt coordinator) was so small and pudgy that he just bounced off of me. So I picked him up, bouncer-style, and threw him back into the fray!

Unfortunately, the idiot director and editor managed to edit out all of the GOOD parts of that fight scene, leaving an unintelligible mess of scenes that lacked continuity.

The rest of the film was just as bad if not worse, too.

That film was made back in 1996, which made me about 23 or 24 at the time. Man I'm old...

Actually, it kinda wasn't.

The director was totally clueless (it shows in the final product- you have no idea on what a "bad movie" is until you've seen this one), and Sandra Bernhard was a TOTALLY ragin'... well... C-word. And that woulda been fine... if she had any talent, that is.

She couldn't act in the least... she wasn't funny at all... and her singing (yeah- she sang a song in the end-credits) could be equated what would happen if you tried to gut a live cat with a rusty saw blade.

In fact, I wouldn't have even bothered getting into the whole barroom brawl thing if I wasn't getting my SAG stunt rate out of it. That was SOME chunk of change, I'll tell you!

Maybe there's something in your profile that makes them go nutty in the chutney!
