Topic: "Little" Things... | |
---|---|
I just saw something kinda' cool... I was outside taking a smoke, when I noticed a rather large "wolf" spider with some kind of a fly in it's jaws...truckin' across our basketball court. I watched it for a minute or two & realized...THE SPIDER'S LEGS WEREN'T MOVING! Holy cow! That lil fly was dragging/flying that big azz spider BACKWARDS! Hehehe! The predator being dragged by the prey... The only thing cooler would've been if a bird swooped down & snapped BOTH of 'em up!
What "little" things have YOU noticed lately? |

Yesterday we took my Pre-K class on a field trip to the botanical gardens. We found a beautiful little hummingbird who was all gimped up and could not fly. He had gotten tangled in a spider web and his legs and one wing were all bound together. We carefully untangled him and he flew away. It was a feel-good moment for my class!

it was a couple weeks ago, but my kids and i were driving on one of the residential streets, a beautiful area with a country feel to it, lots of trees giving shade and houses set apart from each other...
i dont know what made me look up but i spied a gentlemen in his yard probably in his 40s having a moment with what looked like his dad, maybe in his 60s, the "son" was spraying his "dad" with a hose....his "dad" was on the other side of the fenced yard cleaning up leaves on the roadside it just looked like a silly childish little fun moment....it just kinda struck me as a happy memory.... i'm reading the other posts, i was supposed to talk about "little" bugs, huh? |

I'm just glad I'm not the only one who watches bugs!
Some of those itty bitty bugs can do some pretty amazing things. I was watching these tiny little green hoppy thingies and they can hop really really high in realation to their size. |

Hummm I'm amazed at my dog sitting here in the chair with me and watching Babe on cable I mean she is actually watching this show it has her attention she is all into it. It's just way to funny she is whining trying to get to the puppies and all.
Yeah at times even the little things amaze us lol |
