As long as we're on the subject of shoes, does anybody remember those ridiculous Earth Shoes? The ones with the funny design, where the sole was shaped like a wedgie triangle, with the narrow end at your heel and the wide end where your toes were? Additionally, the shoes sloped upward instead of down, so your toes were slightly higher than your heel. They were mutated and backward, much like an Australian mammal. My sister had some of those. I could never figure out how something like that could ever be orthopedically comfortable. Wherever they went, I hope they stay there. I remember "Tiddies"..the flip flops that felt like you were standing on boobs...Oh man, I would trade my sister for a pair of those! |

OY!! Jordache jeans!
Usually, those were worn by fat girls who wanted to pretend they were thin. We called 'em Lardasche Jeans. |

Speaking of sneakers. Not many of you will remember the popularity of PF Flyer sneakers in the 60's. "Run your fastest and jump your highest!" I wanted a pair very badly, but my parents always got me skips.... Let's see if any of you know what skips were.... You probably know Keith... Pretty much the equivalent of Keds. They were inexpensive, and your folks would always encourage you that they were just as good as the higher-priced shoes by saying things like, "Wow! Those shoes really make you run FAST!" As long as we're on the subject of shoes, does anybody remember those ridiculous Earth Shoes? I could never figure out how something like that could ever be orthopedically comfortable. Wherever they went, I hope they stay there. I remember... Ahhh, the 70's... Puka shells, Italian Horns, Earth shoes, Qiana shirts, Rose colored leather jackets.... We really knew how to dress back then. |

Members Only jackets. I saw a guy about a year ago wearing one. I couldn't help but wonder if he was the last Member. I still have a few of them. a black one, a light blue one, and a Brown leather one (that one cost about two hundred bucks). The thing back then was Jordache jeans, Members only jackets, and Nike shoes. Hang on to all that stuff! you may need it to pay back Charles for all his money you spent last night! I know!! Sorrwe. |

"Pardon me, Are those Bugle Boy jeans you're wearing?" And "nothing came between Brooke Shields and her Calvin Kleins"....before everybody "ooh-la-la'ed" over Sassons, all the 'foxy mamas' zipped into saddle-back Dittos for the ultimate cameltoe. Chicks in Luv It pants just didn't know where it was at. Of course, those were for elementary school. Then, they got to grow into Chemin de Fer. |
