When I was little,,,the FIREWORKS and POP...

When I was a teen, a night to plan a date and watch the fireworks
and make some hot moves on them,,,lol

As a man, it ment that our freedom on this earth did not and will not come easy to have.

And now, the many who have fallen or served to HELP KEEP US FREE!

Today, a day to share with family and have fun knowing we can still have our time spent together, free to speak and be in this land...

 MY THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE EVER DEFENDED MY FREEDOM HERE IN THE USA........GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!drinker

YOU may no longer be living, but YOU will NEVER be FORGOTTEN!

Just sitting here listening to the sounds of the fireworks going off and wondering if this is what the men and women in Iraq hear every day and night. I was in the service during peace time and never had to hear those sounds. Let us all remember what his day is about and who it is that gave it to us.

Today represents Americas Birth and the day when America broke free from the tyranny of England at the time. July 4th is a day to remember those who put their lives on the line for this country and those who gave their lives for this country. Today is one of 365 days to appreciate this great country and our bill of rights.
Today is a great day to celebrate our freedoms and what better way to do so than with gunfire, I will celebrate at the gun range!
Thank you so much for those of you who served
and may everyone have a safe and happy 4thdrinker

Amen !!!

The Star Spangled Banner

O! say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: 'In God is our trust.'
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

GOD BLESS THE USA
By: Lee Greenwood

If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.

I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Huston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.

That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
