The incredible risks taken by people of the time.

Could you imagine if California decided that armed warfare was required to break away from the U.S.

The incredible concept that the People have the power, which is vested in its representatives in government.

That for being such a young nation the amount influence and power the U.S. wields in the world.

interesting concept Michigan man smokin ...why do you suggest California ? flowerforyou

I'm not very political but i know this state leads the way in many things smokin

Size, population, economic importance to the rest of the country.
Besides I was born there.

Dante's Dream by Loreena Mckennitt

When the dark wood fell before me
And all the paths were overgrown
When the priests of pride say there is no other way
I tilled the sorrows of stone

I did not believe because I could not see
Though you came to me in the night
When the dawn seemed forever lost
You showed me your love in the light of the stars

Cast your eyes on the ocean
Cast your soul to the sea
When the dark night seems endless
Please remember me

Then the mountain rose before me
By the deep well of desire
From the fountain of forgiveness
Beyond the ice and fire

Cast your eyes on the ocean
Cast your soul to the sea
When the dark night seems endless
Please remember me

Though we share this humble path, alone
How fragile is the heart
Oh give these clay feet wings to fly
To touch the face of the stars

Breathe life into this feeble heart
Lift this mortal veil of fear
Take these crumbled hopes, etched with tears
We'll rise above these earthly cares

Cast your eyes on the ocean
Cast your soul to the sea
When the dark night seems endless
Please remember me
Please remember me

I always spend this day with my family... We usually have a bbq and some beer.. catch some fireworks. ;) Celebrate the Red, White, and Blue. A day where I'm happy to be an American and grateful to those who have served to keep us free.

Its also my birthday, but that doesn't really mean much to me...

Well, now that I am a few lime beers into the celebration....I feel I have earned the right to say...

Woo Hoo! Let's get naked and sh*t faced to celebrate our win over the British.....

That is what America's birthday is all about.

Let's face it...there has never been a U.S. soldier who didn't want Americans to party and get stupid...(it is one of the things that makes our country great)...and I guarantee you...everyone who is fighting for us...want's us to party...they wanna be here..I wish they were here too.

God bless my country men and women who defend my right to get retarded and blow sh*t up!

Merry 4thmas kids!

Holds a beer up to those who have served, and who are serving, friends and family in now. Cheers and many thanks!

Mostly relaxing, though I'll be up tonight keeping an eye on the local yokels so they don't set my property on fire. No rain for 3 weeks and stuff is dry, dry dry.

Walks away humming "In the Navy"

Have a great evening ya'll!!

It means the respect we have of our nation. Wether you have spent time in service or not. Its a day for all to look and say I have contributed to this country. We are what makes our country great.
