A friend of mine once had a rather interesting observation about death.

He said-

"In order to be successful in life, you have to die."

He then went on some incredibly philosophical (as well as scientific) discussions as to why he thought the way he did.

I still don't understand what he was getting at, though.

I was with my dad when he went, stood by the gurney and rubbed his shoulder, and he seemed to go peacefully.

Who knows, people talk about near death experiences and how after they have them, they no longer fear death as the experience was a good experience. They felt warm and safe, etc. ohwell

I don't always think about it but when I do, I imagine a bolt of lightning or something quick like that.

Some see death as tragic... as the worst case scenario...

Some see death as a gift... the promise of no more suffering.

Death just is. Only you have the power to make it anything more.
(Fear itself is worse than death in my opinion, actually death isnt a bad thing at all)
The end of the road... the top of the stairs... eternal sleep. Never know when Death will take you to her realm... not worth thinking about most things in a negative manner, especially natural forces.

They say the good die young... now thats one hell of a topic.

 Someday I will tell everyone that answer.

Right now I feel a greater need just to understand living, wink.

Death is just that. A part of life we can't escape. It really doesn't matter how we feel about it, it will happen. So on that note, I tend to not think about it. happy
