Many of you don't know me. I have been a member for awhile but don't post in forums often.
I am on a few dating sites. Have been for a few years. I do have a life outside of cyberspace also,but this seemed like a good way to meet a gentleman who I would want to connect with,visa versa. I have met a few real men,we have met in person and I didn't feel it would go anywhere. So I know there are real,honest males on sites who are genuine.
Lately I get alot of nudges on this site,like 3 or 4 from a man,so I write,he just nudges again! Or some write seemed very interested in me,but as soon as I show that I would like to meet,they disappear.
Just wondered if anyone else has gone through this? Oh and the match with someone,I have had many match up and never write. I am honest sincere and want to make friends to last and would like to meet my future partner . Maybe I am taking dating sites too seriously?????

I take everything serious ....sometimes feelings get involved....just let the school girl emotions play...flirting if you will...the more serious emotions keep'em hid....

Sadly yes I think that they do. And those that do should know that they are playing with people's feelings.. but then I guess they have none in the first place..

I just like to have fun!

most people I think come on here to unwind and yes play and pretend...I for one am not like the person I pretend to be on here..so yes there are games...

why do you pretend?

I can see keeping private information private and not sharing certain things...but to just be someone you are not? why bother?

you can play around and have fun and unwind without lying about what you stand for...what you believe in...ya know?

Well, yeah -- I get nudges from total strangers; just seems a little lazy to me -- if you have something to say, say it. Nudges from friends are fine, I've got an established dialogue going on there, but when it's someone I've never heard of before, it just makes me think they're trying to take shortcuts.



I've never gotten anywhere with the matching thing, either -- in the end, I've found that the kind of person I'm looking for just doesn't use dating sites. And that's OK -- there are plenty of other reasons to stick around.
