Well let's wait till Izzie tells us.. My dog knows what is too hard or not but maybe some don't...
Of course, it could also be that the dog in question is too aggressive for it's own good as well. And that could result in some bad ju-ju goin' on.

Ok, I'm pretty open about most things but the last few weeks a Dannom commercial has been really grossing me out.. So I HAD to write them b/c of course it came on again.. Here's what I said..
Ok, seriously the commercial where the woman sucks down the yogurt and wipes her face is just gross.. I mean I am not a person that finds too many things off color, risque or gross but THIS one makes me feel like I'm watching a bad porno... |
The commercial actually had that happen? Did she just wipe her lips? Or was there some visible yogurt residue present in and around the lips and chin area?
you can't see yogurt residue but she wipes her face like she's just had a porno stud well you know.. Moof, you know I like sick and gross jokes, etc. but well fricken WOW this commerical belongs anywhere but on the air...
Well... I'd be more concerned as to whether or not there was some actual yogurt residue being wiped off, as THAT could kind of push the line as far as decency- it would be much more suggestive, not to mention subliminally scandalous.
If the person in question was just wiping her lips, then it could be taken any number of ways. |
NO Moof it looks like she's wiping gosh you know what I'm trying to say.. It's seriously like a bad porno scene...

Moof, this is the commercial...

So you're saying that the lady in the Dannon commercial was a "swallower", eh?
And I wasn't saying that it WASN'T implying what you're talking about. All I'm saying is that it REALLY woulda went over the edge if she had been wiping some whitish, gloppy stuff on her chin as THAT would be rather suggestive. After all, it's how media censorship boards like the MPAA determine what is tolerable and what isn't- it's all about the little nit-picky things to them. If there's no fluid present, then whatever connotations of implied quasi-pornographic content in a yogurt commercial are pretty much null-and-voided. |
Did you watch it?
Yeah. Just finished watching the commercial.
To me, it looks more like the female shopper just resorted to her sorority-girl instincts by chugging away at the yogurt more than anything else. It also kind of looked like the shopper was SO intrigued by the product that she couldn't help herself and finish the product off in the manner she did. I personally didn't see anything that screamed "porn". Of course, things would be different if the shopper had done any of the following- - using her tongue to "tease" the yogurt container. - using her tongue to lick various amounts of yogurt in the container. - allowing yogurt to dribble down her lips and chin as she's knocking the yogurt back. - wiping plainly-visible yogurt residue off her lips and chin. Now THAT would be an interesting yogurt commercial! |
so you don't agree? well, somehow it just truly disturbs me beyond any commercial I've ever seen...
Well... there might be some underlying subliminal messaging going on, which is pretty much used in all forms of advertising.
Subliminal messaging is often used to illicit various subconscious results from the viewer in order to get them to purchase the product. Some people wouldn't be fazed by any of it, while others would be intrigued, and while others would have a negative reaction to what is being shown. But other than that... no- I don't see it. But then again, there'd have to be a lot more stuff to go on before I'd start calling pornography. |

I'm surprised... I mean like I said I'm pretty out there and not nunish at all but holy sh*t that commercial just grosses me out...

Could it be that you had a past negative experience with... well... what was kind of simulated in the commercial? That might have triggered your negative response to the commercial, you know?
No I don't think so.. Maybe it's just her face... Who knows, but I've never ever been offended by a commercial and I am this one..
Anywho, I'm off to bed... g'night Moof... |
