Yeah. I believe it's a member of the eggplant family of vegetables. Then again, eggplants are technically fruits (you're eating the bulb and NOT the entire plant), so you'd have to think about whether or not to call them "vegetables" in the first place.

Eggplants are in the fruit family simliar to reasons for a tomato is, but Rutabagas are vegetables, it's considered a "root" vegetable thought to have been made by crossing cabbage and turnips
