I have a problem.

I have a family emergency and it's going to burn my bridges I have built at the McDonald's out here.

My sister leaves for Cuba to be with her husband in Guantanamo Bay (he's security) but the nanny she hired has shady friends and a shady background.

My sister is going to pay me $1000 to watch the kids and house for the entire month of July.

However, I just got hired onto a new McD's. And I actually like my new boss.

I was thinking to call the new boss and explain the situation, however, if my sister agrees, I was going to ask her if I can make it a full time gig, with the allowance to go see Nicole during High Holidays.

I would be a live in nanny for my sister and have the money to go to Israel more often.

I need help deciding!

Explain the situation with your boss. Maybe you can get yourself an extended leave-of-absence and NOT end up burning bridges with the corporate entity in question. Trying to negotiate with them is better than just shuffling off and leaving them hanging.

I am without my laptop in the office for a while. I think I'm getting a new one, rather than them trying to fix my old piece of crap.

Putting what I need on another laptop. He said it would take 2 - 4 hours.

Ahh. He's transferring all your files and settings and stuff. And yeah- depending on how much stuff needs to be transferred, that could take a while.

But you'll finally be rid of that friggin' old laptop of yours, at least. That oughta account for something, right?

Apparently the new laptops are different, so hopefully it dosent suck.
