Does the police academy have a dating site?

There are lots of honorable men out there. Good luck in your search.

Some are some aren't. There are some cops who became cops because they want to help society, there are others who were the bully type in highschool and continue to be bullies.

True...but that happens in a lot of professions..doing something b/c of who you once were..but not ALL are like that!

So your pre requisite for the person you want to marry is that he be a cop?

its sad but true...most cops are old types who are either racist. Or idiots. I love my job and I am far from the bullying type. I'm more the lazy type.... :p

Not a prerequisite, but it sure would be dang amazing if I found one...I just like that feeling of protection too..I'm not say no other profession can offer that, but I love the idea of having someone who serves the community to the best of his abilities...firemen are included as well ;) heehee! I just need to state, I'm sick of being in long-term relationships with guys who aren't men's men...who don't know the value of a dollar (meaning, no savings, etc - I've worked hard to save, why can't he?), the value of showing affection, the importance of family, and the role of Christ in my life...I need someone upstanding and outstanding in my life!

That's fine..say what you will...wanting a guy who is saving up for the long-term is shallow? That makes me chuckle.. :)

Don't most people who work hard and are good at their job and have moral and ethical standards serve their communities as well? Garbage men, janitors, doctors, lawyers, teachers, cashiers etc?

I just find it strange to equate honor and financial solvency to a certain occupation. These are traits of a person regardless of job. Of course officers have handcuffs...maybe that floats your boat lol.

I'm not trying to bash cops, I've known both good and bad ones. I used to help teach karate and there were some cops taking classes who were great people and exceptional officers.

What I should prob. also add, is that I've NEVER been one to be a serial dater..I've only been in long term relationships, and I know the value of a relationship, but I'm sick of things being stagnant and a guy not knowing what he wants to do/is sick of his job. I'd love to have someone come home to me to totally be excited to talk about his day and tell me all about what he did at work b/c he's excited to talk about it...and I know I won't be lonely in the future...I think it's funny how people spout their mouths out w/o knowing someone :) (it takes a LOT to make me mad..so bring it.. :))

wanting protection compared to wanting looks and money is shallow? This is news to me...being with a cop she sure won't be rich. Lol I only make 30 an hour.

lol..actually handcuffs freak me out! lol...no, I understand about serving the community and it's not ONLY cops..I mean, myself, I'm a high school teacher! And I've been a cashier as well (which I LOVED - customer service is ALSO totally my thing)..I just have fallen in love with that job - I know I could never be a cop myself...but I think maybe b/c I've had relatives in that line of duty, maybe that's a pull as well..geez, I didn't mean to upset everyone! lol
