Topic: Falling out of love | |

I have always heard this term, but if one is in love how do you fall out of love,is there an on and off switch somewheres nobody told me about.
When at times I have been asked do you still love her,my answer is always yes,I have learned to live without her but never stopped loving her, love can't always conquer,my question is how do you turn it off and how can you fall out of love with someone, maybe it was not love in the first place. |

I think that switch is usually turned off for you. Just my 2 cents

when the person you love is no longer the same person and you realise that sometimes it's not possible for you to love the person they became

I only love you as a friend now Miko, not like before

Just make sure you do not tell your new girl that you still love another woman

I still feel love for a former girlfriend of mine but the differences between us were too wide.

Well if your the one that falls out of love with that person than you never really loved them. On the other hand if thay fall out of love wit hyou than thay never really loved you. I have never fallen out of love my this one woman but i have just learned to live my life without her too but once you meet the right one and fall in love again you soon forget the one you had loved cuz your heart never stopped loving them it just started to love someone else. Like a bad moment in one life you may never forget it but you put it far behind you and far in the back of your mind .

I don't think there is an on/off switch for love. I do think that love can fade if the fire that started it is not rekindled from time to time. Eventually the fire will go out, that my friend is when the love dies.
And if your asking how do you stop loving someone you don't want to love anymore. I'm afraid the only cure is time and possibly finding someone that will rekindle the love in your heart. |

sometimes not always I will think of this woman i was in a long term relationship with and some of the old feeling are still there, maybe not as intense when we were dating, but I still have feelings for this woman when something reminds me of her,it was a very intense relationship.
Almost didn't post today,I think some of our female members are still a little miffed at me,so again I would like to all of you that I am truly and heartfully sorry if I offended in any way. |

Hard to say.... its a slow process to me... slowly fading away... but again it could be like falling for a reallly long time until you actually realize you no longer love her, then *splat* but overall its usually more subtle than falling, which i do a lotttt

Time heals all wounds. If someone you love hurts you then cry a river, build a bridge, and get over it. Never be sad for what is done and gone, Just be glad that it was once yours to have and hold.
It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. |

I do NOT believe that falling out of love means you never loved the person in the first place. People change and sometimes that change can cause a change of heart. I honestly believe that most people LOVE their significant other, but that being IN LOVE is rare.

It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Real talk dude, thats real heart and i def agree. But ahaha I have never seen so many recognizable quotes stacked together like that, good work. Yeah somebody once complained to me about how much pain they had because of their ex and how much they hated love and blah blah. So i asked them, Would you rather have had nobody care about you? Every thing has its equal opposite, and the harder the pain, the larger the love was, and when it was, the more amazing it was. I am truly happy to have had something so good and so important to make me feel so deeply |
