It could be for a number of reasons, really- - they could just have grown up in a totally-humorless household, devoid of laughter and levity. - they could also take themselves SO seriously that they couldn't tell a joke from a something that ISN'T a joke. or - they're so stuck up on themselves as to think only THEY are the funny ones and those who "try" to be funny actually aren't, which results in their getting all wenched-out. But yeah- more people here need to take a flea bath and not pee in everyone's Wheaties when it comes to attitudes in this place.
