There will always be two sides to a scale, even if they are tipped more towards one way, but people are too complex to look at as one or another. There are varying levels of commitment, and various different opinions on what commitment really means. Forget about simple answers... nothing worth knowing is simple until its already been complicated. Jus talk to your partner exactly what you're looking for and what it means to you... its not rushing if you're just talking about it, right?

Ahhh, but you forget the middle of the scale. There is always three sides, your side, their side, and the right side (tentatively, the middle). If you really want to get into a discussion on this, I can. I just simply can't stand when one sex is ousted in favor of another, when both sexes make the same mistakes all the time.

People are not complex, they are actually quite simple. This is why there is no time to look into the other side of the story, the simple people just say "it's not my fault" and move on from there. Where fault is rightfully placed on both sets of shoulders, regardless of the issue. One can take it too far while the other is trying to rectify, or neither party does anything and the issue becomes another thread here on Mingle...one of which I will always reply in a ridiculous manner, because inevitably I will see the same thread a week later from people that don't take advice for whatever reason.

People want to see agreement on their argument, no other side, just their side. Rarely do any of these people see the fault in their own actions, words, or thoughts. Oh, but they are quick to point the blame at male/female and quick to forget any responsibility on themselves for the issue existing in the first place.

And we go back to square one, stay for a week, this thread will pop-up again.
