Read a book...that you treasured from childhood....take a walk, change
your job, meet new people, take a class you've always wanted to take
even if it is Basket Weaving For Dummies 101

Unhappy with who I am, naw more like accepting who I am.
Sure there are some things I’d like to be different, but why stand in
misery around that. Just accept it and find the joy. I find that making
the best choice I can based on the information I currently have leaves
no regrets and no real place to get stuck in that backwater of pitty.

Sexyforueyes, being a friend has awesome rewards. At first being in a
place that is mostly female dominated was a real struggle for my ego.
But in listening without trying to judge I am relearning what I learned
while I was a hitch hiker. People will open up for you no matter if they
are men or women if you let yourself be a sounding board. The wonderful
things that you can learn by being there for others and letting them
share their stories with you can grant you insights into the human
psyche. Things that you just had to just guess at can come to you
without even asking. The main thing is not to prejudge because you will
find others like you who will give you pearls of wisdom from their
experiences. When you share the things that you have in common with them
you both can relate and draw new conclusions. You get to learn both
sides of the story. It gives you a more clear view of things and life in
general.

When I get down, I sit back and watch other people..you will always find
someone who is alot worse off than you. I also go to the nursing homes
and visit the elderly, and just listen to their wonderful stories. You
not only help yourself, you have also made someone who doesn't get many
visitors have such a brighter day for a change. I also adopt a grandma
and a grandpa from the nursing homes that don't have anyone to come see
them and I remember their birthdays and christmas especially, but i try
to remember ever holiday. It makes me feel better knowing I'm helping
someone else.
