Mingle2 is a huge website, in terms of members. As with any dating site, forum posters are a very small percentage of members. Perhaps it might be a good idea for us to promote the forums a bit more. I do see more new people posting, and i am happy about that..I will get with the site owners, and see if we can't find a better approach to making the forums more appealing to newer members. This is actually a great suggestion, i'll see what i can do. drinker

I try to drag everyone that emails me into the forums lol

Ask,

I saw that you looked.

Ok Ms.Winx. I did look. And to prove it here's a few lines from your profile....

"Frozn, frozn, I love this thread
I can't get these poems out of my head.

I smile when I read the lovely prose
and I find my head tilted in a pose.

I admire the talent that I hear
I am thankful that you like to share.

But...me writing a poem from my head
Is something that I very much dread."

Winx

"Winx, Winx, you little minx, your poetry is better then one thinks,
It flows like the water at skating rinks,
and your compliments, can't you see, my eye blinks?"

You're right. I stand corrected. In "Stealth Mode", you are NOT shown as online to others. Thanx for correcting me.flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou

I would think that sometimes they exit the site without logging out. They're not at the computer, but still showing as online.

And I'm guilty of just leaving the computer on, so I'm online 24/7 most days, cause I never feel the urge to sign out.

Those people who never post..but they are "online now"

What are you doing?

Are you 'mutual matching"?

Searching?
nudging someone?
just having the webpage open?

What's going on?

Alright let's get this straight. Let's say I'm a person who doesn't go to the forums and chit chats..so

I'm gonna open my webpage to the mingle website...alright..so

I search around, but after the 10th search..I kinda start to notice the same faces and so on...
So the next time you search I'm only looking for people you haven't seen yet.

Then you nudge them? mails them? And how long does that take? couple of minutes?

And then what? Seeing them being online for hours, but obviously not posting anything on the forums, so what are you doing? what

I've had a number of non-posting-people e-mail me and say that they absolutely love READING the forums but are afraid to jump in and post anything. Well, of course this makes no sense to me, so I try to cajole them into posting anyway. A couple of them did post a few things, eventually, but then disappeared again.

I find it funny that people have the nerve (I don't mean that in a bad way) to e mail you, but not post anything in the forums. I'm not so likely to e mail anybody that I haven't seen a few times in the forums, unless they have a most excellent profile, thereby providing something worth writing about. But even aside from the profile, seeing posts in the forums gives one a much better concept of their attitude in public interaction and what they might say if I were to e mail them.

I always promote the forums in my profile reviews. Sometimes I see them around, sometimes asking for their review is the only post they ever make in any forum.
