I would say that my internet service provider sucks (Suddenlink is the worst) and they actually told me I should try another company when I complained about my service
so the question is, can satellite TV also provide internet service? if so, I'm there |

I have worked for a call center company and begged for money from the alumni. Just be sure to have a calm cool confidence voice. And don't try to be overly nice if they are irritated. You will do just fine as long as you don't yell at them! LOL

so as for my day at work -----
nothing too fun havent sold anything --- nothing at all -- bummer been here 2 and a half hours......... and i have only talked to 7 people tried to convince one guy to go from the "4 star" package which has 300 minutes of long distance to the "5 star" which has unlimited and voice mail and costs 10.00 more............spent about 40 minutes talking to him..............and he ends the conversation by going, "tell ya what, let me think about it and call you back when I get out of the bathtub" and I replied..."okay have a great day" |

I used to be a collection agent. I think I talked that same guy. I'm not kidding. 40 minutes talking to a guy in the bathtub. That's just creepy. Not the worst activity I was subjected to while on a call with a debtor..I'm sure you can imagine. |

fyi for all of you people out there who "hate" calling the phone company/cable company or anyone else whose number starts with 1-800........when you call just be quiet. Do not just start talking. That is so annoying. I had this lady go on about how her computer was not working for about 3 minutes and wouldnt stop and I was like, "Well, tell ya what, I'm in sales...I probably know as much as you." She goes, "Oh, thought I pressed the right number." -------------------- |

Whenever I call the cable or phone company with an issue, they end up trying to talk me into changing my plan. That bothers me.

Some more things you shouldnt do because if you do you arent going to get anywhere with call centers: Dont call in and ask for a supervisor. Because the second you do all I am going to do is ask you why you want to talk to one which every single person then changes their tone and starts "their story" which...if they would have just told me their story in the first place I may have tried to help them...but since they were cocky...I didnt and just sent them off to my supervisor....who guess what? Really dont care about you When we ask you for your pin # do not tell us that you have a ton of them and dont know it. Because guess what? We hear that ALL OF THE TIME, we have pin numbers and passwords too and it is not funny. You ARE NOT the first one to come up with that joke. Do not say, "Are you from America?" or "Do you speak English?" Because guess what? Some people who work for some call centers speak very good english and they were born in other countries and the last one........We hate our jobs just as much as you do :) but we dont yell at you for no reason, do we? |
