That is why I drive whereever I go, so when I feel I need to leave, I can go. My exact thought one thing I've learned through the years is always take my own vehicle by myself that way when I want to leave I can leave. There is nothing worse at times but to be the odd person there be it being single or lack of conversation. Which if I'm there and there is a lack of conversation that speaks volumes.

in college, a friend invited my roommate and me to a party and promised lots of hot chicks. we showed up and found 6 guys and 1 chick...who was not hot. but it picked up, right? wrong. an hour later it was still a sausage fest. i managed to snag the attention of a few chicks from a neighbor's party and my RM and i were working our magic (haha) on them on the back porch. it was going fine until we started hearing and smelling terrible things. that's when we realized that the bathroom's exhaust vent exited to the back porch and our friend was in there drunk off his ass shooting foul liquid out of both ends.

My band got hired to play a private party by a guy who owned a brewery. Need I go on? Just not enough room for everyone to sleep over. It was nuts.

What about when you go to a gathering where you DONT belong, but fit right in, it scares you?
For instance.. I'm not an addict. BUT I can go to an NA meeting and.. get along with everybody just great!! |

I went to a childhood friend's wedding a couple years back. And I was so out of place it was ridiculous. Picture this: A chubbier girl, dye black hair, black make-up, plaid school girl skirt really short, black top, and 2 inch platform sandals... and they were all orthodox Mennonites. Ya I pictured it, now off to take a cold shower. But I think that'd standout at most weddings not just Mennonites. I didn't think it was that bad. It was August and super hot out! And I was taking pictures of her and the bridesmaids before the wedding and she said I looked great. Wanted my shoes!  Geek  Are you sure you were supposed to show up at the wedding? Are you sure it wasn't the bachelor party. I just find it comical picturing the photos bridesmaid, bridesmaid, best man, groom, sexy schoolgirl, bridesmaid, bride, |

Baby showers... just not my thing.. at all.. I am the only one who is not paired up and or with child from my closest friends... so awkward feeling... ha ha ha...
