I shot a squirrel today...and a chipmunk!!

Yea!!

they are out of control here and they tried to destroy the foundation...and I live on a sand dune...soooooooooooo....

Bye Bye Squirrel/Chipmunk!!

sorry, but if you knew the trouble that I had with them last year...grrrrrrr!! finally have them down to a level that is controllable too!

I used about 7 different kinds of animal urine, I tried the traps, I tried feeding them away from the house...NONE of that worked...

putting a pellet in their forehead seems to do the job! (my apologies to all squirrel lovers!)

So your house was built on a " sand dune ", which isn't the most stable of foundation settings in the first place, and you get mad at the squirrels???

The place on the property that the house was built had to be all back-filled, so no, the house is not directly on the sand. I live by a big lake that has lots of sand...and sand dunes...and yes, all the homes that are along the lake had to be back filled to make a foundation. The foundation of the home is very stable. Yet, I do not want all kinds of squirrels and chipmunks tunneling under the foundation either.

now, the back patio bricks are set in sand, like many people do all over the US, and the animals tunnel under there, they destroy the tree roots, they are too abundant in the yard.

many times, a yard is back filled in the area where I live. We have lots of sand...as I would think most houses that are built where there is very sandy soil are.

Hope that clears that up for you!!
