Okay... here is my two cents....

Saying 'I love you' to a stanger is CREEPY. Love is verb... an action and if the word is not back up with action it is unnatural.

Love can be shown in other ways like was mentioned a smile, a kind word or gesture. But if you go walking around tell people you love them, you might be put in a rubber room.

Secondly, when tell someone other than family and established friends the connotation will be the 'romantic' love. And that is just cruel to put that assumption upon someone.

Well said, Tanya. While I never thought he meant anything romantically, I just thought he was going overboard. Forcing your feelings on others, especially after they've stated they don't agree is too much.

However, he's just trying to get reactions.

Em! Good to see some reason. I was starting to get ill. laugh

A man gets high. He then gathers some friends up to get some more money from a guy he knows who keeps cash in the house. He ties the man up by a lamp cord, then burns him about the face and neck with the light bulb. He then whips him with a dog collar, a chain collar, until his skin splits open. The neighbors hear him screaming and police arrive before they get his money. They flee and elude arrest.

Dude goes to Florida and gets caught and returned to the state where the crime occurred. You meet with him, and he proudly tells you about hurting others, killing his cat, setting fires, impregnanting underage girls, and using women for sex. He then brags about his drug use.

Do you love him?

Women, they are something, eh? I am thinking of going half gay: you know having s&x with women but hanging out only with the guys.

This is not a man I went out with. This was a case I worked on professionally. This is a true story. Actually, I underplayed him a bit.

You and I are not the same. We are not one. You continuing to say "I love you" is creepy.

I love you too...
I love you too....but i love the fact that people come here and it hits a sensitive spot deep inside them and react differently. That is my point..I mean..i'm not trying to start a revolution...I am trying to make people think deeper then normal! Is love creepy...or is hate the way!Why can't we say I love you to a stranger.Because society says it's not right...I was never one to go along with society..i think outside the box.I smile at strangers and send them love...so I ask you...what is wrong with that?
This is the conversations i was trying to get from everyone...and let me just say..i may me wrong or you may be wrong. But no matter what...I have to follow my heart. And my heart tells me..I am pasrt of everyone.....so crucify me if you see I need to be.I respect that!

I wasn't inferring you were wrong or I was right and never said that... I was just trying to have fun by saying that I love her too... Just trying to add a little comedy to lighten the mood... That was my intention solely.

I would rather people go around telling people that they love them over they hate them any day.. As far as me saying that I love you to people (right or wrong) I reserve those words for a relationship developed between us. I tell friends I love them everyday but those are in a sense my reward words for being such a wonderful person in my life. Those words are reserved for people that really move me emotionally and are said as a thank you and a confirmation that you are close to my heart...

I respect your opinion on loving everyone as Jesus would and I commend you on it... We need people like you in this world that love unconditional as it pertains to mankind... but I can't love that way fortunate for me unfortunate for mass murders, rapist, child molesters and so on...biggrin

LOL, want to trade case studies? I am only here for breaking a lamp (plead down from B&E, aggravated assault and ).

But seriously, women: it is clear that when a woman feels strong attraction for a man, it is almost like a addiction. I have never had s&x good enough to call the woman back the next day (well once), it was always her personality that made me want to call her. Is it something to do with your physical bodies that makes this so, or your psyche?

the answer to this i gave in a past thread (kinda)

you can love someone without condoning their actions

you can feel compassion for this man because obviously there were circumstances that lead him to be a person that could do such deeds

does that compassion condone what he did (no it does not) hee should still face the consquenses of the deeds he has done

and as i posted earlier in this thread

their are many kinds of love

and imo compassion for someone just because they are human is a kind of love

Some members of the humane race, "can act" in horrendous manners.
I look on people as I would on ANY mammal. If any mammal goes mad(?) & choses to kill & destroy, all it meets. I say "destroy that mammal & protect all the others.
There are members of the humane race that fit this description & yes, I can be the executioner.

My god taught me to love ALL his creations, but gave me the power to see when one of them needs to be destroyed.

Something I think our present society has forgotten.

I hope you all see how this fits here, in my opinion.

thou shalt not kill is pretty straight forward

------------------------------------

Jesus never said hate the sin, love the sinner. But he needs to spend more time studying the life of Jesus because that’s the way He lived. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus re-defined sin to a previously unheard of level, sayng that thinking about sinning is as bad as doing it, but He was frequently accused of fraternizing with sinners, and in fact spent most of His time with them. With the woman caught in the act of adultery, He refused to condemn her but told her to stop sinning. (John 8:11) Same with the crippled man the He healed. (John 5:14) He never condoned the sin, but He never condemned the sinner. His goal in dealing with them was always reconciliation.
