So I love art - Monet - Van Gogh - Georgia O'Keefe and any late 1800 to early 1900 impressionist...........but where do I go to find people to talk about things like that with? And I dont just mean on Mingle, but yes, on Mingle too...but also....where out in the world do you meet people who want to talk about things like that?

Question two...shot in the dark

Who is your favorite artist and what is your favorite painting?

Well I would say an art museum or gallery exibit. But does Tennessee have those?

And my favorite artist is Vik Muniz, but most of his stuff isn't really painting, unless you count his chocolate syrup pictures.

It's a cliche, maybe, but I love Van Gogh and Starry Night is one of my favorites. Also love the impressionists Monet, Manet, Degas etc. Not particularly educated in art, though.

I like DaVinci but I enjoy older works like statuary and such along the lines of the Greeks as an example.

Art museum would be where I would go.

Good point, but that's why I also mentioned other gallery exibits or shows.

Yeah, I know TN has museums. I was just pickin' on the state.

Dude, this summer, take a little trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico. If you love art, you will love Santa Fe. Just the Georgia O'Keefe museum is worth the trip to Santa Fe, but there is much, much more.

My favorite artist is Dali, and I got my Dali watch to prove it.

Art Museums often hold classes or events; those might be an outlet to talk about art with others. Volunteering at an art museum might be a way to meet more people. I was a member of the Detroit Institute of Art and they encouraged their members to volunteer.

Or taking a community course in art might be another place to find art fans.

I got the watch in Santa Fe...!

Downtown Santa Fe is packed with art galleries and museums. Ever since Georgia O'Keefe moved there many many moon ago, a lot of artists followed her there.

You'll love it, I'm telling ya.

Now do me a favor and don't make this a habit of starting serious threads.

When should we expect the pic release of the much anticipated Billy Boobies?
