Which sex would you rather work with?

My profession (dog grooming) is predominantly female...meaning there are more female groomers than males (at least in the dozens of places & states I've worked in). I've worked at ONE male-operated grooming shop in all my years in the biz, & have got to admit that I preferred it... I've also worked in other fields that were predominantly "male-oriented" (cabinet making & construction) & again, much preferred working with the opposite sex... Who would you rather work with?
Females if they were as hot as U!!!!bigsmile bigsmile  flowerforyou

I prefer to work with men. Men are so basic; what you see is what you get. The women I've worked with were pretentious and backstabbing. Maybe they're not that way everywhere, but in all the places I've worked with women, there was such jealousy and gossip, like junior high school kids. I'm not a girly girl, so I don't care who has the most expensive tennis bracelet or who pays the most for their frosted hair.

I worked with one silly lady who was actually crying one day because another coworker had bought the same dress she just bought, so now she couldn't wear hers to work because they'd be "twins". When I worked in construction, we all wore blue jeans, tshirts, and workboots, and no one cried because we all dressed the same.

OMG!!! Oh the horror of being "twins"...rofl Sometimes you feel the need to just slap some sense into 'em...

This was an interesting study...for the most part, the general consensus was a preference towards working with men...eeeeenteresting!

i've worked with, and managed, both and i have to say men were not as, tempermental, as women. but, in the big picture of things, i always felt like i was overseeing a bunch of preschoolers at times, regardless of gender. ohwell

You would!

I work in an office full of women and have said more than once that we need some testosterone in the clinic. We are like a family, but you can't be too sure what's said when you walk out of the room. I'd prefer to work with men any day of the week.

Plus, men have friends.....and well, you know.....

I definitly prefer working with men because a little flirting can go a LONG way in the workplace. I know that sounds bad, but facts are facts, men are easy to manipulate if you put a little wink in here and there. YEah, that sounds bad indifferent ...uhm, men are more cooperative in the workplace than women if you are friendly with them....yeah, tat sounds better.

My life in the military and as a government contractor have been working with men for the most part, but, it was my honor on a few misions to work with a female pilot of a Blackhawk gunship. When our unit was attacked and a few of my men and I were hurt in Iraq, she flew her chopper in between us men and the incoming laid down a few minutes of hell to get us out of the way. Then she got the wounded to the aid station. She got the second highest flying medal for her actions. In her very soft voice, she said,..."I broke a nail in that one". If I were to go back, she would be my requested pilot.

my last company was mostly women. our weekly manager meetings pissed me off because i'd say, "this client is costing us money by causing this problem" and two or three women would say, "oh, but he's having family problems" or "she's such a sweet lady". and since we men were so outnumbered, if it came to a vote we lost. how the hell does being a sweet lady (which is a totally subjective judgment) trump my statistical data that clearly shows she's hurting our company by not paying us? that company was always losing money. and there were random *****y catfights all the time and grudges were held for YEARS.

at my job before that we had no women except for the receptionist. decisions were swift, we fired, hired, took or rejected jobs and did everything else based on logic and sense not emotion. the money rolled in even as the economy started to buckle. if we disagreed about something, a few profanities might fly, someone's mother might get insulted and they'd be pals again 2 minutes later.

in other words, from a business standpoint, working with men is much better. however, i enjoy being around female coworkers on a social level...as long as they aren't allowed to be around one another.

I do have a chick who flirts with me on a so and so basis; and happen to be 26 years old, still a virgin, fugly, being the boss's daughter, and my plant manager all roll up into one uncomfortable package. It is like I am constantly working and flirting at the same time as it is a friggin job itself. How much can I flatter her ego? well all I can say is that as long as I get away with everything I did wrong, and a nice decent income, then it is worth it in my book.

Kinda suck that me being the 2nd shift supervisor is that all the women (only 3) on my shift are Philipinos who are old, and can't speak english very well.

I'd rather work with women, for a man. The place I work now is owned by a woman and managed by a woman. If the owners father hadn't built the bussiness and left her alot of money the place would have gone under a long time ago.

I would rather work with women unless it has anything to do with hard labor, carpentry, house modifications, yard modifications... I don't mind if women help design it just stay out of my way then while I build it... I work better alone normally but have no problem working with a team... I just feel strongly that there can only be one team leader.. He can be impeached if he is a retard but shall be followed until such time... It just creates chaos when you have too many people sword fighting over being the foramen... leave those thoughts for theory or get with the team leader and put the notion in his ear to better something that he can take in consideration... Don't undermine progress is what I am trying to say.. I have no problem following a seasoned foremen and it actually can take a burden off of you at times yet for the most part and for all home modifications I am in the driver seat!
