I remember seeing them in the form of collectible trading cards when I was a kid. Wish I kept some of them.

It is possible that long distances can work better than close proximity . . .

if you know what I mean.

I think it really depends on the distance, if its only a couple of hours away why not. Now if its half a world away I'd say good luck with that, hope it works out for you.

It worked for Erik and I. We lived four hours apart. We met on this site in autumn of last year, met for the first time in january and saw each other once a month between january and april, and then moved in together may 1st. So it can work if both parties are willing to work for it.

This is the key phrase that has been mentioned time and time again on this thread by several people. It can work if BOTH PARTIES are willing to WORK FOR IT! Unfortunately, too many people, either individually or collectively, are NOT willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.

If both parties feel the same way towards each other, that this is the person they want, they HAVE to be with this person, they cannot breathe without this person....then there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome, including distance.

Unfortunately, this is true in "person right next door" relationships, too.

I have heard that they do and even have known people that have claimed to fall in love without ever meeting. But how does it work? How can you trust and believe what they are saying? I have emailed and talked on the phone with men from different states that are claiming they are willing to relocate but after a phone call or a couple emails it seems to fizzle. I know unless they are friends how do you find the romance and the spark online? Tell me something good or bad about your cyber romance please.flowerforyou

"How can you trust and believe what they are saying?" without this all else is dead all ready
