Budget budget budget!!!

Store brands are often just as good, if not better, than some premium brands.

Make sure your checking account and savings do not mingle with each other. Keeps you from dipping in from one to another.

Purchase at club stoes; BJs, Sam's, Costco.. for paper items and misc. They are cheaper and the bulk purchase will last you a good while. Frozen meats are good from there as well as dry food and canned.

Look into your Sunday newspaper, since over 75% of grocery coupons come from the Sunday paper. Buy a few of them for the coupon sections alone. You could even ask neighbors or friends for theirs if they do not use them. Online coupons are awesome as well.

With the economy as it is right now, saving money is not an easy task. I would try and put money in a 401K or a CD.

Depends on what you mean exactly by saving.

As saving money doesnt earn any money at the moment. Interest rates are close to zero.

I am soon to be having a punt on the stock market with some of my spare cash. Prices are low and a long term investment should pay off providing the companies i invest in stay afloat.

But im thinking that the people you refer to dont have spare cash.

They can work harder/more hours, or spend less. Thats about it.

Also there is that old saying If You Aint Got The Cash Dont Buy It! Or Don't Spend Money that You Don't Have.

Make a list of everything you NEED and then go shopping, not matter where it is. Don't buy anything not on the list.

Don't go out for dinner dates and drinks. Have friends over for them. In advanced mention the dinner theme, so to speak; Italian, Greek, Indian, BBQ, ect. Have a guest bring one thing or two. Cook at home, play games, drink, talk, ect.

Save our 'brown boys' and more. Treat all your change as gold. I personally find that savinf my dollar bills as coins too works. A dollar doens't go that far anymore and if anyone really does have cash on them it's more thana dollar bill.

I so agree with Joy on this. It is hard with school and all. There is always something popping up that was not expected.
