Marijuana won't be legal for two reasons. The FDA and the insurance industry. They both get far more with it being illegal and the costs of actually legalizing it outweigh the potential benefits.

Legalizing marijuana would be a step back not a step forward imo... Instead of trying to legalize marijuana we should take steps to make alcohol and tobacco illegal. Just because something is a plant doesn't make it alright or mean your supposed to roll it up and smoke it!

purely for medicinal purposes really helps with back pain...heck, even Montel is using it for pain relief
