As long as you don't need a real job, we're kinda short right now.
Lakes, everywhere, which means playing in the water, boating, kayaking canoeing, fishing. Woods-and lots of em' Kinda funny looking thought, some are planted in rows and rows. Hiking, camping, less noise, neighbors can't see what cha' up to, hunting. Winter, we some serious snow. Not the 1-3 inches that melts in a day or two. NO, this S**T stays all winter. Snowshoeing, snowmobiling, cuddling by fire, dining out, ski-ing, Northern Lights. Beautiful countryside, affordable housing. |

We are surrounded by the Great Lakes which prevents really bad environmental storms such as Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Hurricanes, extreme Tornados, etc. We get some blizzards in the winter and some Tornados but nothing to the extent that most states get. We get a few small floods, sure, but nothing really awful. Sure we get a lot of snow depending upon where you are (in winter anyway). Usually you can give the weather 10-20 minutes and if you don't like it it'll change. I've lived in Michigan my entire life and I honestly plan to stay here unless I cannot find a job or my SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) gets worse. I unfortunately live in a town where it's constantly gloomy, rainy, stormy, snowy, and the weather changes very frequently (like a little valley of screwyness). My hometown is 45 minutes away and the weather there can be quite different than here a lot of the time.

It's safer without all the severe storms (volcanos, earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, etc.), yes indeed |

MAKE HIM GO TO TEXAS!!!
DO NOT COME HERE!!! I live here, been here all my life. Believe me you do not want to move here. Vacation here or visit yes, but don't move here. Our town is slowly dying a very slow death along with many other towns. Jobs are so scarce- people are actually fighting over them. Crime rates are rising too. due to all the economic turmoil. As for storms- we have had tornados and earthquakes and flooding. We have'nt had any really bad stuff since my Grandmas parents days weather wise here. Still it could happen. The lakes do not protect us from bad weather. We just have'nt had really bad weather in years. Except for blizzards, lake effect snow, and ice storms. |

We don't get a whole lot of snow here where I live. We get snow, but not usually in massive amounts. Meanwhile, Bad Axe, which is about 40 minutes from here, gets absolutely pounded a lot of the time. |
