Just a survey.

How many people realized yesterday's glitch was a site problem, and NOT a "format change"?

How many people assumed the worst and actually believed it WAS a "format change" (although I personally can't understand how anybody could possibly think that ANY website would make a move to a change like "THAT"!), and didn't even entertain the notion that the site may be having problems?

I must admit, I was getting a huge kick out of the folks who started making threats that they were going to leave if the admins didn't "change the format back", completely clueless to the fact that there WAS no format change.

Ah well, I thought it was just my computer acting up, but suspected that there might have been something wrong with the site. So, I logged off.

I got a kick out of the reactions. Seriously people... get a life!

I came on with difficulties and my first thought was to check the forums to see if there was a problem with the site... sure enough, there was. So, I logged off and went on with my day.

I guess that means instead of being a whiner, I'm a "it's not me" type?

i've been here forever...it's not the first time...i was surprised though when i tried to log in at 1:30am it was still down...

Heck it was pretty obvious from the start what it was but..............then I have seen it before and actually had company part of the day and the rest I watched tv and relaxed.

But it is comically how upset some did become and what their reactions were as well.

I assure you as soon as Admin found out they had to leave their plans for the Holiday Weekend and was trying to fix the problem.

I commend them for doing so not so sure I would have interrupted my plans its not like it was a matter of life and death. It just goes to show you what they really think of their members.

I'm getting used to it, myself....seems every time they make a change or tweek it a bit, we have problems. For a minute, I thought it was my computer, but when I was able to get right in to other sites, I realized it was this site. Gave me a chance to get some things done around my house

It just goes to show you what they really think of their members.

I'd seen that glitch before so I knew it was the site having a problem, not a format change.

I knew it was a site issue since when I first came on yesterday morning around 6 am everything was fine when I came back a few hours later it was all messed up

i realized after trying to get in to the site after 20min, that the dang site was down.. it had been down before.. but geeze never this long...

I'm interested to see how many folks will actually admit to the second part of my OP.

Makes you wonder if those who complained will come back and apologize for how rude they were.
After all we don't pay a penny for this site.
But I guess those that did complain must live perfect lives and never have problems

Shshsh now why would you be flabbergasted over anything I say hehehehe I'll be honest if it had been up to me and I was the one that had to fix it I would have stayed with family and friends and enjoyed my day and fixed it later. awwwwwwww is that bad of me?

Yeah, Ok... I will admit that at first I was a bit taken aback... as it was very early here, and I hadn't had my 2nd cup of coffee. And also I did write a polite inquiry... in the proper forum... I did not threaten or any of that. Just a question, and inquiry... and Mark was great about responding. As to the reference about why would a site choose to change to a "format like that?" Well number one in my mind is that this is a free site. Times are hard, and I expect that in the real world, one gets what they pay for. Downgrading, downsizing, call it what you will... it happens everywhere. So it can always be a possibility that one day, things can change and it not be for the better.

If that makes me look like an idiot, well, I guess then that is the case. I was taught that there are no stupid questions...(and to listen to the answers so that one does not become frustrated with the repetiveness) but yes, actually there are stupid questions... the ones that one does not ask.

I thought it was funny how everyone blamed it on a new layout...when obviously it wasn't a very good "new layout".

I just kept checking back periodically throughout the day.

Nope, not fixed yet. Okay.
Site's still down. Okay.
Must be still working on it. Okay.

Seriously, I had just as much of an enjoyable day, regardless of the fact the site was down.
