Topic: Curious: Non-Religous Question | |
---|---|
If a religious person was interested in a non-religious person, is this an honest attempt at creating a relationship? or is this person eventually going to try to convert the non-religious person into the faith of the religious person?
opinions. be honest. |

Hmm.. Depends on what the rewards for the religious person are.. Then again, maybe the non-religious person will see an opportunity to corrupt the religious person :-)

"rewards"?
well I don't ever plan on breeding.. so the aspect of "it's for the children" will never ever ever be there there are no rewards for another person when it comes to someone else's beliefs as far as I can tell... but I am suspicious of getting into a relationship like this and a situation I had is making me evaluate. |

I would say it depends on the person.
There are religious people out there who are able to be friends/more with a non-religious person. I am not only Atheist, but also Anti-Theist, strangely enough, a number of my good friends are deeply religious. There are people out there who would only enter into that relationship to try to convert the other. |

Depends on if the religious person is spiritual or fanatical. By definition, fundamentalism is not a religion but a cult and a cult will try to aggressively recruit.

lets put it this way, the fellow dropped a few JCs into the first five sentences and he wasn't cursing. he was blessing.
I was like "WTF?!" |

As in all relationships, you can only stand what you can stand, then you can't stand no more.

I figure if a woman has that strong of a relationship with an imaginary friend then maybe she should marry him, (become a nun?). After all, if she already has one husband, what does she need with another one? |

It depends on the people involved! Are you worried a religious friend of yours is going to try to convert you? |

Atheists are better in bed. Just giving you a head's up so to speak. Less fear and repression. Also an atheist is much more willing to experience sexuality on many levels other than procreation. They dont typically have hang ups about marriage nor is it a requirement for them to enjoy making love. They dont tend to need contracts with the state in order to establish their love for another or to validate within their on contious framework. |

I think it is important to talk about religion at the start of any relationship.

Any Christian person I have ever met seems to fear human sexuality on some level. They shun it in fact. Atheists do not do this. An atheist is truly in contact with the human aspect involved in making love and sharing that personal connection between two people (not necessarily a man and a woman either). It does not involve marriage nor is condemnation an integral part. Christian is not defined as "religious" necessarily either. |

If the other does not have a problem with what the other is doing then the believer covers the other. Or else thier children would be unclean. Paul spoke about this... blessings..Miles
