Ok so here I am sitting in front of the computer just typing away. Then as usual I hear little footsteps and went to check on the kiddo.
When I went upstairs she was sitting in the middle of the living room floor laughing her little ass off.
So, of course I asked "why are you up, are you thirsty?
And she says "I need to feed the squirrels some bananas cause they're hungry" keeps laughing and lays down and goes back to sleep lol
Guess she was sleep walking again lol
Anyone else have any strange stories of their little ones sleep walking?

My daughter sleep-walks; she gets it from her father who, in his sleep, walked into the laundry room and pee'd in the dryer.

My son has slept walked a couple times and tried to pee somewhere other than the toliet! Luckily, I wake up when he wakes up!!!!

Sleep walking runs in the family for the boys... so I use to be a little concerned about his doing this when he was older, but doesn't appear that he will!

My Sister who is now 12 walked in her sleep when she was very young... several times she hurt herself by standing on her bed and nose diving into the floor while sleeping. She also had night terrors and that was no fun at all.

My little one doesn't sleep walk but some years ago I dated a girl who I lived with that had little kids. One late night while we were watching T.V. her 5y.o.daughter came into the livingroom pulled down her underwear and sat down on the coffee table and pee'd. Another time her son, who was asleep on the couch just stood up on it let it fly. Just memories I can't forget. They were so funny.

My cousin and his family are living in Germany. They flew in for Christmas. They have a daughter that sleep walks.

They all fell asleep in between flights at the airport. Their daughter wasn't there. It took them a long time to find her. She had been sleep walking.

They were frantic!

I tend to think a child walking in there sleep is probably just a natural part of dreaming sometimes.

But it it is consistent I would probably want to be watching for other signs or stress or neurological disruptions. A watchful parent can give invaluable information to a well qualified pediatrician.

If they seem normal and happy on all other levels I would just make accomodation for the possibility that they will sleep walk and relax and count your blessings. There are parents in the world that would be glad if their child could walk asleep or awake.

My daughter often comes out of her room at night, takes her stool and unlocks the back door then atempts to open the back door. She gives up and heads back to bed, leaving the door unlocked! LOL I now have locks up higher on the doors
